I'm conflicted about the eBikes. It's cool that they allow people who would not otherwise be able to ride anymore the opportunity to ride, however I don't think they should be allowed on single track unless it's all eBikes. I don't care that it's not a gas motor, that's a motorized bicycle and the speeds they attain, particularly uphill, cause an issue with those of us on "classic" human powered bikes.

On the 996 front I'm having a Porsche OEM windshield installed this morning. Waiting for them to show up to my house now.

I'm confused -- does that upgrade your PCM 3.0 system if you have an '03+?

I used to love to mountain bike, but as I got older (3X+ the age of my turbo), knees, fitness, body-mass-creep, etc. I just wasn't doing it very much. This will open up all kinds of new terrain. Great single track that is completely legal on an eMTB and no way in hell on one of my KTM's.
Yes, I can see why it would be appealing...

incredible. if you got the glass separately did you bring the seal and trim to whoever installed it? also was there a period it had to "cure" overnight or whatever?

i really need to replace mine and 450 is a killer price.

I ordered the OE parts myself. The glass company supplied the windshield, adhesive, and did the install in my garage... They put a few strips of simple masking tape on the windshield and said it would be fully cured in a few hours.

While these guys had a great price, I actually picked them because they were recommended to me by a few shops that deal with higher end cars.

Finally got the motor out to work on the build. Been a busy couple of months and just haven't had the chance to work. Felt good though!

Nice work, and nice garage too! What engine out service are you performing?
