Changed the oil pressure sensor with one I found in my parts stash. I won't have the new one for a while yet and I'm headed to the track again on Tuesday.
This took about 90 minutes including looking up some torque values in the service manual and retrieving the throttle body bolt I dropped behind the A/C compressor.
It's that gold colored thing back there.
The book says,
remove air filter housing, unclip boost pipes, remove Y pipe, remove throttle body, (remove oil temp sensor which I did not do), remove oil pressure sensor.
Installation is the reverse of removal.
In addition I lowered the engine so I could get my mitts in there and I took the hose to the brake booster off the plenum to have room to swing a wrench. If it was not pouring down rain right now I'd even give it a test run.

Got my Rennkit hydraulic replacement kit installed yesterday for the spoiler. No pictures of that but I did also put my Apex EC-7RS rims on. Love them so far. More to come over the next week

whoa, funny I just did mine yesterday too! I'm troubleshooting an error code for mine still, but otherwise it's working perfectly mechanically at least. Cool kit.

Yes, he's on Etsy and eBay. You can see the link here. He is also a member on here and has posted in the marketplace area. He also created the Scangauge holder you see in my pics, along with the blank buttons made to hold the USB ports.

Those two are charging ports. My Carplay is wireless and the phone holder to the right side of the HVAC is wireless charging.

Lots of modified 996/997 turbos without updated internals are running around with bent connecting rods and no one knows it. FSI developed a special tool and diagnostic process to indicate this with the engine still assembled.
Most of the time the traits related to this are random ignition misfires that can impact cylinders, and none of the normal fixes will address them.
