Cheers guys. Amazing what’s under all that cosmolene. I’ve always removed it ASAP on all my Porsche’s before it gets burned. Once removed it’s easier to keep clean and make visual inspection.

Cosmoline always looks so funky, but I usually assume it helps out in the long run.... Sure does look nice when it's all removed and cleaned up!

What are you all using to clean the cosmoline off the undercarriage? Some sort of all purpose cleaning spray? Or is it labor intensive with a scrub brush??

WOW!!!

Another reason why I need a lift in the garage. Still trying to figure out ow to get one in. We have a lower level below ours so still trying to see how to make it happen.

a sunny day on new years eve is a rare thing in my part of the country and the rain had washed away all of the de-icing chemicals from the previous week

Replaced DS latch, and now my window stays down when I open the door. Previously had to hold the handle up.

How much work was entailed? I'm going to need to do that, soon. Both of my doors intermittently act up.

I had some fun at the local PCA AutoX this weekend, but the Qualcomm Stadium parking lot (where the Chargers used to play) has seen better days, and took its toll on one of my plastic side skirts (or whatever they are called?) somehow:

Does anyone know the part # for this piece? I'm having a hard time finding it.

Also, any suggestions on where to have brake calipers refinished + rebuilt? Mine are looking pink and rough, and need a rebuild anyway.

I assume your looking for the plastic piece. Some of the part numbers listed above are for metal parts, presumably cut & weld sill replacements.

For the plastic sill cover, try 996-504-363-00-01C (driver side) 996-504-364-00-01C (passenger side). For those with painted sills, change the 01C to G2X for the primed version.

I think I was wrong, this seem to be the good part!
