Blew at least one coolant fitting in a spirited Thanksgiving day ride
So, just as holidays and winter approaching, I'm thinking of parking the car for a couple months before dropping the engine and welding them, doing all the other while it's out stuff.
Question - any issues with letting car sit a couple months with the cooling system breached like this?

lifter failed. oil pump destroyed scavenger pump destroyed 2 valves bent 2 valve seats bent cylinders needed slight hone and micropolish the crank. rod and crank bearings ruined. so a 27$ part new with 1000 miles on it at only 19 psi failed and caused about 3000$ in damage. had it not been for my engine builder helping me to rebuild it the cost would have been 3 times that amount

Changed the oil, washed 2 sets of wheels and put on the winter set for storage! Doesnt sound like much but it was pretty time consuming. All ready for winter chillin in its garage. Also bought my son his "first Porsche" for Christmas! And I thought the original power wheels jeep was cool...

Nah plugs looked good. I'm changing them anyway along with the coils when the engine comes out, but I had a beer or 3 and wanted to take things apart so I went to it.. It finally threw a CEL for misfire cyl 4, so I went to work on that side, checked the coilpack and plug on cyl 4 and it all looked good, so I swapped cyl 4 and cyl 5 coilpacks to see if the problem moved- car ran fine when I buttoned it back up. Weird. At least the patient is healthy before going into the open heart surgery.

That thing will have an extra stitch or 3 when you're done.
