What did you do to your 996TT today?

I replaced my transmission mount for the 997 turbo one. A few months ago I did the motor mounts and I liked the way those transformed the car. Reading about the transmission mount, it appears that a lot of them are shot at <50k miles, so I figured mine was probably due as well. I found one for $200 at suncoast and I ordered it without even looking at my old one.
However once I got it out, my mount appeared to be fine. No significant cracking nada.
On the left is the old mount, on the right is the new one.
The new 997 mount has more rubber than the 996 mount (this has been well described). What I found interesting was that besides these reinforcements, there are also additional "bump stops" added above the left and right corner from the insert. The old mount is completely open here. The space for deflection is not very big before it hits these bump stops, I would guess 2mm. It appears to me that by too much deflection this mount stiffens up considerably, probably helping with the shifts under full acceleration. I will report back when I can drive the car.

Finished getting my new seats in, wrapped up the in-dash iPad install, mounted 4 points of my 6 pt harnesses... Still need a roll bar.
Might change the seats also, picked these up from a friend and I am a bit small for these. They are super comfortable though, much more so than the OEM comfort seats. Surprised me! Seats make a HUGE difference in how the car feels and the driving experience.
Please ignore my hand in the one pic.. was shielding from sun glare and screwed up the pic

I guess it could do anything an iPad can do I suppose. If passenger wants to watch netflix or something like that on a trip. Takes maybe a minute to remove it.

Installed a pair of Schnell V2 exhaust tips (x50 style) in lieu of the stock tips.
So nice having an original CA car... the old tips came off without an issue and the new ones went on just as easily.
Next projects include getting the new HRE's FF15's mounted, OEM Porsche carbon steering wheel installed, and fire extinguisher in place.
Later in the spring I plan to have a set of Ohlins installed.

I did the same upgrade (thanks Sam) over the holiday. I guess it barely counts as a mod, but it sure looks cool, even though my stock oval tips were polished to a mirror shine.
