I looked at it, looked at the to-do list I had planned for the weekend and then put everything away and spent weekend doing other stuff. It was great.

I’ve been looking at wheels but they are so $$$ and grey ones that look nice are hard to come by.

I believe I paid under $400usd... Last time I looked they were 1k, but the OEM wheel was just way to thin for my liking.

Ordered a clutch accumulator. I need to do that along with the master cylinder and engine/tranny mounts. Been waiting for the temps to come down.

That’s how I feel about the OE wheel, wish it was a tad thicker. As for the price, that’s an insane increase. I saw a couple that were in the $500 range on eBay but they came from vendors in China. I feel with items like this, stuff coming from China is a hit or miss.

Mine was from a fellow in California, when I get back into town I can have a look for you.

Yes, thin wheel with great big meat clubs is not the greatest.

Another great video is Tiff O'Neill absolutely flogging a 996TT. That dude can freaking drive.

Tiff Needell. Crikey, you yanks ruin our language enough without getting our failed F1 drivers names wrong! He's better known for his touring car days, he's still attending track days giving lessons and rides to the common people. A friend of mine saw him at snetterton track day a few months back. Great bloke.

My bad. I thought I had edited that. It did not look right though. He's probably more famous for the McLaren F1 video, but still. I'm sure he has more skill in 1 foot than my whole body.

Drove it to work. Tonight it'll go on the lift so I can pull the cardan shaft to get it ready to dyno Friday morning.

Got further away from it.

Also got this note from rock auto, should have waited to buy a new alternator...

BBB INDUSTRIES. I have not heard of that brand but it's a reman. Still hard to beat for $76 though.

...not sure if this is of interest to you, but here's a guy nearby in Germany, who would like to exchange his nice and well maintained 996 GT3 for a turbo....
