All new Elephant Racing control arms, toe arms, thrust arms, dog links, new KW v3, alignment, repaired holes in the blend door w/ ZERO damage to the dash/cowl area by taping the holes carefully through the heater core. It's like a brand new car!

the "reset"? ( sorry )

you turn the ignition on to POS 1. dont touch gas pedal. wait until you hear the "click of the butterfly valve" in the TB "reset" after 1 minute ( have your drivers window open lol ). turn the key OFF 10 seconds. then start as per usual. voila. TB reset.

Did you take any pics of your repair?

Right on - I take it that the last time I had the battery out doesn't matter; as long as I follow this procedure, all should be good, because I too have a stutter...

Correct. I disconnected my battery when I took out my drivers seat, then had the stutter. Didn't realize I needed to do the adaptation procedure when I reconnected the battery. All is well now!

That is really interesting - I took both seats out over the downtime to re dye them and did not disconnect the battery. I think I have had this stutter since I took the car last may; I think it was Sam that told me to clean the TB and the hesitation would go away - I will now go and disconnect the battery and do this procedure.

Cheers,

Disconnecting the battery is not required.

Very good - I followed the procedure, but the car is cold, so I will have to wait until I can get it out to check it out... still seems a little grumbly, but may in fact be irritated that its been inside for almost 5 months...

^ could also be "stale" fuel. 5 months is a long "sit".

Looks like the procedure requires some minimum temps, is your garage heated?

Always maintain the car and tires at ideal operating temperature so it’s ready to roll.

Bought a Drexler differential. 40/55 80NM preload.
Should give me some grip on the track.

This weekend:
  1. Cleaned, removed old wheel weight residue, compounded, and polished the wheels
  2. Cleaned up the wheel wells
  3. Replaced lower front fender liners
  4. Replaced some rusted fender liner hardware
  5. Poked around under the car noting anything else that looks to need attention.
Polished the exhaust tips last weekend.

After getting quotes of $400 and up to recover my steering wheel, I bought a $12 kit and tried it myself. I am pretty happy with the results.

It really sucks that the carbon and the wood pieces that were such an expensive option when new was such garbage! Mine all cracked also. Do you miss the carbon smooth feel on the wheel? Considering sending mine out to get carbon redone. I just don't want it to happen again in 5 years!
