A terrible car compared to your S, the S leaves it brutally exposed as a fancy (but beautiful) Ford. Yer gonna have to buy a GT -car from Porsche to be happy.
I rented an AMV8 for a long weekend in May. Country roads all. Great car.

It's an expensive Corvette though. But it IS an Aston!

as soon as i can get 500 Hp in a 3000 pound or less normally aspirated porsche with a sequential box for no more than $160,000 ( US dollars ) i MIGHT be happy

Apex Late - stop hanging out with PCA pansies...you will only spend 60 minutes on the track...even if it is a good one.
easy there boy!! it might not be a nuking! driving the s tonight i realised really how much that low redline is going to hurt me. im going to have to work the gearbox way more on the track and all corners will be in a higher gear. drive might be a problem if the higher gear in the s is too tall for 5a and b and 8 9 10.
the grip on the S is very good even with those PS2 as are the brakes so that wont hurt me too much...the frickin revs will. either way i plan to go as fast as the car willl go or end up on the roof...or maybe both!! kidding of course

I think this fits your bill.....525 hp; 2550 lbs, normally aspirated and a sequential box. You WILL be happy.....less than 6 hours on a PMNA sprint engine.
Make me a realistic offer......via pm

very nice ...im tired of trailering a car everywhere. my fantasy scenario was a street car that has those specs. FRYD you should buy this and take it to the UK ( maybe he will take the GT3 on some trade??)...this needs the tracks in europe

I'm 2 years away from something like that. In the meantime, need something for both road and (occasional) track use. I think in 2 years, there will be a lot of street MK2 GT3s looking for full-time track use.

i have no video camera...you have to trust the word of the witnesses or an onboard timer if someone has one.
LastGt3 will be there too

As you know why .. it's not supposed to be a timed event..but I will check to see if I have the lap timer and beacon..I should.. the only part I don't have is the tripod.

Well I'm at mosport typing on my blackberry. I have been told by people here that they are receiving calls from people wanting updates so I thought I would try. The car is stock with micheling PS2, lowering springs and fabspeed mufflers. This morning started out well but I couldn't break 1.40 due to traffic and unfamiliarity with the car on track. It feels very good but needs more revs. The tops speed is down 30 kmh over the GT3 which really hurts. The tire pressures have been an issue and I'm still trying to work that out. Best time still with traffic is a 1.38.
There is only passing allowed at 3 parts of the track with permission from the driver in front and that kills the lap times. I'm hoping for a 36 by days end and a 35 would be a miracle.
Pilot cups would save me 2 seconds maximum....but that low redline and heavy carrera S body and inferior brakes ( compared to GT3) are also hurting a bit. I have passed pretty much everyone and haven't been passed or had anyone on my *** yet.
The PASM works very well.....the new GT3 will be a weapon. More to come for all you yentas later.

must be the lack of fikses that's hurting your laptimes
