I wish I could be there seeing how I started this mess! I'll be watching Rennlist eagerly from the UK and from Oz when I'm there on the 20th.

Jason - you should get the MSPCs from Alon and at least make it interesting!

i used the 18 inch FIKSES on the 997S before and it just didnt feel right compared to the 19 inchers. i guess the suspension geometry and the PASM is designed to work with the 19's so it works better?? i dont know but 18's just felt bad.
called autowerks to see if i can get 19 inch MPSC for next week and maybe even spare wheels..

Its too bad that I can't make it down for this either but I will be in Tremblant that day doing laps of my own. Jason, let it all hang out. No one can expect you to turn GT3 laps in a 997 S but I know that you will still light it up. Post the times and anything else that you may have available because all of us want to see what is what. Nice to see someone put up rather than shut up

the handling is quite good ( i did lower it with springs) and we have aligned it as agressive as possible with the stock suspension ( only 1.5 neg camber front)
the biggest thing you miss is the extra revs in the GT3. the S has great torque and revs nice too but hits the limiter too early. Overall the chassis and brakes are excellent. the variable steering is strange to get used to as i find myself turning in to early even on the street. i havent tracked the car more than 20 laps or so so i have to recalibrate a bit. next week we will see.
i want an RS but not if it has none of the good rs stuff so im on the list but we will see. then again , i made an offer on a Ford GT and love the new AMV8. then i saw a T rex and thought that would be cool...what about a supercharged lotus elise,or GT2's are getting affordable........
or just a plain old GT3...yeah....ok...i gotta go take my ritalin

BioBanker - cancel that conf call - it wont be that good...you will regret not having a good 19th having fun in the sun.
It will truly re-humble me having Noble nuke me in my 05 GT3 - hopefully some of the nay sayers will actually show...
Apex Late - stop hanging out with PCA pansies...you will only spend 60 minutes on the track...even if it is a good one.

Man, someone needs to take a video camera! If anyone wants to take mine, let me know. It won't work in the UK anyway!

You crazy bastard... Let's see you'd break a Ford GT since it's not a track proven car, a blown Elise. . .you can only polish a turd so much. You'd break that car too. The AMV8? Have you driven one? A terrible car compared to your S, the S leaves it brutally exposed as a fancy (but beautiful) Ford. Yer gonna have to buy a GT -car from Porsche to be happy.
