Re-gearing for Mosport
#122
due to traffic and only being able to pass in 3 spots on track i couldnt better the 1.38.
the 997S in stock form with the PS2 OEM tires was excellent, The chassis and PASM are very good. i ended the day passing everyone ( i believe) and never being passed or having someone on my butt. i drove as hard as i could and thats all i can do.
As i said some of the time killers were also the much lower top speed than my GT3 ( 997S was 30KMH slower) and the lack of revs. but look out for that 997GT3 its going to be awesome. ZO6, LastGT3 and bruce Delfino were there and can comment. I lent bruce my 997S for some laps and now he wants a porsche.... i drove Bruces viper and cant believe he was going at the speed he was...great motor but what a pile...

Mosport - The *** is no ***
Hi - I was there and think there was more time on the table for that 997s. Traffic was usual (fully open no run sessions). Some very slow to moderate slow traffic. He passed all until the constraints (passing zone rules + point by's) shut things down.
And for those rennlist jackasses who seem to need to take a swing at anything NobleGT3 says, be sure of this, would you loan someone else your 140K 2006 car so he could try flogging it at Mosport?
Noble did, and I know you wouldnt. So, I think he gets my respect.
The man loaned a pristine 997s to my friend ( a triple Viper owner ) until it just about ran out of gas!
The net result is that my friend is now fully in love with the 911...and he is as die hard as they come. His next car is a porsche.
So hats off to Noble, he is the Missionary PAG needs.

Easy brother. Seems you canucks are so exited about not being snowed in for a few months you feel like you have something to prove out there. Thats not how I would run; seems like a sure fire way to shunt it. Noble seems like he means well, though, however misguided his ranting and raving might be. Going fast is fun.
By the way, loaning someone your car does not mean you can live up to your claims of being faster than the pros are.
Yeah, you know, I'll be at the track all year long holmes. No rush to get out there and be faster than the next gayboy who bought a cupcar or whatever. Just keep having fun. Thats how we do it out here. You guys should give it a try. We will be more than accomodating, I assure you. Let me know.
