I thought you might have.
You did mine(538) in late 2011.
Theres even a dyno video of my car on your Facebook page.
The fact that it already had The IMS Solution was a major reason why I bought my car.
But my sticker is on the door frame.

But the car listed above has the sticker in the engine bay area.

That looks like possibly a great deal.
By the serial number, I’d guess it was done in 2010-2011.
It's an automatic though

TIP is okay just push harder with the right foot and keep both hands on the wheel and use the paddles.

Lol. Why? It's no less a 911? Just because you can't figure out how to work a Tip, and make it go quick, doesn't mean there aren't plenty of us that couldn't and don't on a daily basis? Ignorance...

Or put it in Manual and can use only one hand to go both up and down on just one button, like McLarens are able to do, with clicking up and down with one/either paddle! I don't understand the utter confusion about this pretty basic transmission option by so many here...? Weird. But we all strive for those few extra e-peen points!

There is a reason why automatic 996's sell for about 2/3's of the price of the more desirable manual 996's. The manual cars are just way more fun.

If you want a slushbox, there are better daily drivers available for the money.

Most people shopping for 996's skip over the automatic cars.

Automatics weren't any good until 997.2. Obviously people are looking for a deal or just have never driven much. Tips are worth substantially less, and there is a reason. They are for geriatrics, amputees OR cheapskates. which one is it?

New forum rules:
  • people who say negative things about the Tiptronic 996 are required to provide evidence that they have owned one.
  • people who make statistical claims (e.g. 2/3 the price) must provide the data on which their claim is based.

2003 Targa with 43K indicated miles, looks like it was lemon early in life from the Carfax, $22K.

The car is literally a half a mile from my house if anybody wants somebody me to look at it.

I specifically wanted a TIP (and Cabrio WITH the hard top option). Started with a C4S in early 2019 and less than a year later got a 996TT X50 with the same. Couldn't be happier, especially as a daily driver.

When we build a real engine, the tip cars come to life. Stick a 4.0 in a tip with my altered cam timing, and etc, and it will shred a manual of the same year with the same engine fitted.

We are seeing an increase in Tiptronic cars here. They suck to remove and reinstall engines from, but the way the gear ratios eat the torque these engines make really is mind blowing compared to stock.
