Great. What are you (and everyone else for that matter) connecting to on the other end? I'm assuming some people are connecting to head units. Are others tapping directly into the 12V or some intermediate connection?

Personally I'm not routing the cable into the dash, but I also went to the extra trouble making a USB-C PD port fit into a switch blank.

That's genius but I was looking at routing it behind the dash. Going to use one of those buttons for the Cargraphic cup kit immediate lift.

12V to QC4.0. I will connect it to the switched power in the unused phone plug in the center console.

So as I was driving around today, I was holding my phone in the anticipated position to get a better feel for it. It's going to be awesome! Thanks for doing this.

Got a source for a USB-C version of that board? The one I made was a hassle with hacking things apart.

sorry for the incomplete info:

I haven't used them before. Actually found them on Amazon when searching for 12V to QC adapters. Some novel things on their website. The issue here is there is no case. I'll prolly go to TAP plastics and buy a small box to suspend it in. Pictures coming.

Well this thing is rock steady. It took aboit 2 minutes to install and holds the aim unit in the perfect spot. I didnt weigh the aim but il sure its heavier then a 8" tablet. Its gonna be perfect for your cel phones. Ill try to get some better shots tomor with different Ram accessories i have.

Default Link to dash cluster removal

For those of us snaking the power cord through the dash, this video may prove helpful:

I went to install mine today. Am I missing something? The stock hazard trim clips into place with two vertical spades. One on each side. The mount I received fit the opening perfectly, but did not have anything to hold it in place. I must be doing something wrong here….

Its very loose and certainly will not hold the weight of a cell phone. Someone point me in the right direction please!

Edit - I see now that it’s the torx screw that is intended to hold the mount in place. My mistake. I was thrown off by the new trim mount not using the spade clips.

I thought I saw it used the torx screw in the hazard opening…. Check the earlier posts.

You could not support a better guy. Yaz is the man.

If I had an interior, this would be going in it !

Next, Do a search on „UAOS“ or „Ultimate AOS“.
Once you’ve done that, let us know and we will make a couple more suggestions.

Thanks guys! Looking forward to getting some feedback from the early adopters. I was a little premature taking the initial orders. Realized the material wasn't up to snuff after sending some out. Reached out to everyone before anything was delivered. Revised the design and changed the material. And tested for the edge case scenarios that I should have been considering previously. Thankful for test support DeJeeper has been providing. Maybe he'll share the video from his Monday track day using the mount for his AIM Solo 2. The updated versions should all be getting delivered in the next few days.

500g (over double the weight of an AIM Solo 2 or iPhone 13 Pro Max) supported on 2" arm in the oven at 170 F.
