Hazard Trim Phone Mount

Finished!
I pulled the binnacle today and re-seated all three plugs. Yeah, I'm sure they were not fully seated the first time. This did the truck - first fold the lever all the way back, it kinda clicks into position. Then press the plug fully into the slot and the lever will pop up a little bit. Keep pressing down on the plug and fold the lever completely home until it snaps into place. Everything works as it should now. Phew!

@Bumlinger Love all the Carbon, I just installed the same Rennline GT3 delete panel... I plan to add more CF inside. Which pieces did you get the rest from? Does the CF all match?

@Bumlinger happy you got it figured out so quickly. What charging base are you using? Haven't seen that one yet, and I'd like to put together a list of verified compatible chargers.

Insanely good!
So, hey there, this is my first post here at Rennlist. I just wanted to tell you my thoughts on the hazard trim Phone mount. It was a Christmas gift from my dad as I showed it to him a few weeks ago, after being disappointed by the Rennline center console delete mount that only fits boxsters and 996.1 cars, as I had to find out after buying it…
First of all, since I live in Germany it was quite expensive with shipping and extra toll payment. Around 140$ for the „normal“ nylon variant in total.
After receiving it though I knew even at that price point that was worth it. In itself it’s already extremely durable feeling and well made.
As my 996 Targa has a lot of leather options which include the hazard trim, I - as a hobby leather craftsman - covered the front of the new trim in black leather, which replicates the look of the original trim.
Today I fitted it and well, this thing is incredible! It is like an original Porsche part and fits incredibly well. Fitting was also really easy, though the original trim was a bit difficult to remove if you don’t want to add scratches to the dash or the original trim itself.
I bought a sleek and minimalist MagSafe adapter with a 17mm ballmount and also added some alcantara to it to make it look and feel more premium. Otherwise it’s full anodized Aluminium and only cost about 7$. Holds the phone perfectly, though I have yet to try out how secure it really is when driving (currently in winter hibernation)
I’m extremely happy and would advice ANY 996 owner to buy this phone mount, even at that high-german-price point. Thanks a lot for creating it @yaz996

Being a leather craftsman in former life, I gotta say your fit and finish on that piece looks fantastic! Kudos on the clean customization.
