I'm sure most of you guys are aware but for those who are getting the ESR MagSafe 17mm ball with cable cutout, you can get iPhone thunderbolt charging cables that have a 45 degree (USB-C is available too) bend so the cable will be out of sight if you plan on running the cable behind the dash. Just an idea.

ORdered! so looking forward to this! You meant Lightning cable right?
Made some changes to how inventory is managed on the website, and I have a separate listing for additional inserts only for those wanting to try out multiple options.
Looks like you’re up and running w the 3D printed version? I just copied your link to a 996 FB page where they were debating the RennLine mounts. Better get your printer in gear for a crush of orders.
Almost ready to order myself: do I want one of the ***** or should I step up to QuadLock?

Thanks for sharing. Have another couple dozen available now, and keeping my printer running as much as I can. Additional inserts are available separately if you can't decide on a mount.
For those who have already placed an order and want to change the insert/mount type, shoot me a PM. Managed to build up some stock of all options. Shipping out the first group of orders tomorrow.
For those going with the cable cutout option, here are some more pics to help with the install.
Cable will go along the topside of plastic support structure in the instrument cluster binnacle. There's an existing cutout in the upper right that the cable sits nicely. Next run the cable thru the cutout in the mount base, and proceed with install instructions posted previously. Before finishing the install, play around with your complete setup to ensure you have enough cable length.
Ordered. 17 mm ball seems like the most common ball mount, ESR Halolock seems to have the strongest magnet and this is highest-reviewed 90 degree USB-A to USB-C cable on Amazon (3')
I've used both of the following in different cars. They're strong, and also have a 17mm (±0.3mm) ball on the base. So I can swap the magnet portion over onto the new Hazard mount.
