The owner of that white/nephrite car is on the Turbo forum. There are very few white 996 Turbos and there were exactly two 996 Turbos made in white/nephrite.

Thinking on it, I could live with a white or black 996 with the nephrite green. Can’t envision another exterior color I’d like with nephrite. Having a 1 of 2 would also be enticing.
Like the white, not a fan of the green. Maybe if I was the Hulk or Green Lantern? Beauty is in the eye of the beholder. IMHO that goes for women as well as cars. If it makes you happy, go for it….

If I could find a woman who has a white 996tt with green interior I would go for it!
White! Nephrite! Carbon Fiber! Tiptronic! Turbo! This one has it alllllll!
I’m not sure I would include Tiptronic in a “having it all” list when the subject of the thread is market value. Certainly Tip can be an advantage for some individual buyers who need automatic, but it typically isn’t an advantage for market value.
I had a 944 auto and 944 turbo manual back in the day and for me the best driving experience came down to daily driver or weekend warrior? The turbo was the obvious weekend fun drive choice, but in big city traffic as a daily driver, I favored the auto.
My Dad was a collector for many years, he picked up the 996 Tip. Us boys reaction was great car but a Tip, really Dad? A few years later he would say it was one of his favorites, he could still drive and would come back with a smile every time even in his 80s.
It can get so much better... This is @uscarrera PTS U Miami 996
Exterior is PTS Orange by the way.
It will be interesting to see what that turbo ends up going for. Aside from the rarity factor. It would take a very specific buyer.
.
My first reaction was the Hulk tossed his Orange Julius, but then visions of Miami Vice and cruising the strip took over and I’m thinking pretty sharp……
I would really like to drive a 996tt TIP, just once, only to see if all the criticism is justified.
To be clear, I wasn’t really criticizing Tiptronic as much as saying automatics aren’t generally preferred, market value wise, for sports cars.
I personally did not like my wife’s old 996.1 Tip, but the 996.2 Tip is supposed to be much better, and I’ve heard the Turbo compensates for Tip much better than a naturally aspirated 996.
@peterp I wasn't insinuating you were criticizing TIPS, I understand the market discounts them. @pulpo Please change your Avatar, its killing me.... LOL
