There's more 996's inside The Porsche Museum now, than collectively "on the road" at any given time in the universe
Porsche is now completely obsessed with Type 996
And its spreading to Europe
We are next
Buy!

The only certainty is that in a year the lucky among us will be a year older!

This one was in for repairs at the Garastisi.

The black knight. The red car next to it with the hood up is a 67 jag, real rare that car has been restored to a pristine condition it is older than me. The other red porsche is a gt3.

I never get tired of looking at that rear end. But my favorite place is in the cockpit.

The 911 GT cars are not as rare as you think. I am always out at cars and coffees on Saturdays here in the Houston area and i always see at least two or more. Last Saturday I was on my turbo and I guy I met there had an 07 gt3 with some mods, definitely one of them was his exhaust. Anyway the Car was loud as hell. After we left, We raced twice for a bit more than a quarter mile and I kick his *** twice, I never hit the rev limiter. Only bad thing my turbo since it has the stock exhaust sounds like a lawn mower. This coming Saturday at Formula garage (Houston) I’ll get to see probably at least 4 more GT cars, one is a Gt2 that is inside formula garage. I’ll will not see them in my rear view mirror because I’ll be driving the 99.

There were less than 1,000 996 GT3s sold in North America, whereas Porsche saw an opportunity and began ramping up production with the 997 GT3s and flooded the market with the 991. Essentially, what started as a limited production trial balloon has now taken on a marque of its own. Porsche is virtually willing to make as many as the market will bare.

Remember, the 996 GT cars were produced in far fewer numbers than subsequent iterations (i.e., 997, 991, and even the recently released 992).

my brother has a 15 pdk. I drove it 3 times while I was in Florida with my mother. Anyway when we were eating dinner on the night before we were going to schedule to leave in two days he asked me if I wanted to drive it again as he could have taken his F150 platinum, i told him no you can take the Porsche that’s not my cup of tea. They are fun and fast but way to many electronic controls for me.
