Just noticing that my comments are moderated on BaT. Is that the same for all, or did I get put in the bad kids' room because of past behavior?

I recently requested that my account be re-opened, so maybe that's it.

It is listed as a dealer. And the commenter who claims to have seen the car in person (which the seller says is impossible) says they did so at the dealership where it was recently serviced on the carfax. Not sure who to believe on that one.

Comment section on BaT is nuts. Compared to pcarmarket, autohunter, carsandbids. The sheer volume of people poking holes in the listings is astounding.

It was for sale at another dealer last month when the commenter saw it. That dealer wholesaled it to the current dealer who listed it on BaT

And it looks like that dealer was Ocean Mazda which is where the car received nearly all of it's service. I wonder why the seller would say "that's impossible it's been in my garage for 1.5 months" though if that were so obviously the case. Seems like an unnecessary lie.

Edit: Actually, it's not nearly all of it's service. There are 12 entries for service at Ocean Mazda since 08/21. Mostly duplicates. Padded the service history at a glance. The whole auction is bizarre.

Selelr has not addressed the fact that the VIN doesn’t pull up X50; that is the more pressing issue for buyers. That hood sticker is easy to create.

Can confirm this car was for sale at Ocean Mazda at some ridiculous price as well. I really do appreciate eagle eyed enthusiasts calling out the headlights. Early BaT auction (and pre auction BaT) commentors would really be honest in calling out flaws. That is all but non existent these days.

Wrong headlights. VIN doesn’t run as X50. Option sticker shows engine code not associated with X50 (M96.70; but should be M96.70E if built with X50 motor)

Sooo much potentially wrong, so many red flags Seller needs to address. Of course you can just stick your hand into the intercooler vents and feel for the telltale X50 ridges. But not over the Internet
