This poor guy has no idea how far off the mark he is... This car (today, January 14th 2022) has 0% chance of selling at this price. I'd say he'd be lucky to get $40k.

Seal gray 996.1 rare - one year only. So you know it’s a 2001.

I think Glacier white was a one year carryover from the 993. 1999 only

My comments were a little tongue and cheek about the seal grey color since we have a lot of "unicorn" talk with bright colors. But as an endorsement for seal grey, don't know what it is, but when I saw a seal grey 996 on the road back in the early 2000s, it just hit me as one of the coolest colors. Up until that time, I had never seen that color on any car and it looked incredible, timeless, classic, not common, not a boy car color, but one that I could drive as a 36 year old thu my 90s. I still get fired up when I see another seal grey 996.

Bullish on seal grey!

Seal Gray on the "thinner" lines of the NB 996 do it for me. The shadows it casts highlight the lines of the car. Mine also has a LOT OF BLUE. Not sure if all Seal Greys are created equal

He wont get that ask with those pics. If this car was detailed and in a collectors garage they would get close to that ask.

Sometimes its all in the presentation.

Shooting for the stars, I think 40k is a more realistic number.

RE: Seal Gray; personally, one of my favorite 996 colors. I also like Basalt Black, Lapis Blue & Polar Silver and any of the white options. And, believe it or not, I like Arctic Silver, regardless of being far and away the most common. It is still a great color. Most Ferraris are red, doesn't make it a bad thing.

The reds, yellows, and other Skittles colors are all amazing too, especially on the track or at gatherings cause they POP! And as we all know, they pull their weight at re-sale time due to uniqueness, but from an ownership standpoint, I prefer more muted colors.

I sleep ok at night knowing my 996 is Artic Silver, since my two other cars do have rare shades.

There's a 996 GT2 up on the PCA Market for a cool $190k as well.

991 GT’s are all DFI street motors Porsche had to absurdly slap 150K mile extended warranties on them all cause they blow up on track

are summer tires "new" after 7k miles?

And the "don't miss out!", "this car is in-demand!" salesman speak will never work on an enthusiast.

But someone will probably pay full asking price. Rich idiots running amok right now.

BaT comments played a role, I think.

Man, I would love to own either of those two beautiful cars. Great deal on that 997, still just out of reach.
