This car was also available for weeks on FB for 28k and the guy had no luck. It has a leaking rear main seal (he was willing to split the cost), a quirky interior, and some paintwork needed I was thinking it was worth 22-23k?
I don't get why people are happy to pay more on BAT.
The auction atmosphere and information overload on BAT creates confidence and excitement. Can't get that staring lonesome at an ad.
I've met a lot of 996TT folks, the motor comes up for obvious reasons. Lemans has never come up. I guess we run in separate circles. If someone wants to think the base has any significant connection to the Lemans winner, great for them.
The motor was built for LeMans. If they don't know that well, they must really like those funky headlights!

Haha yes of course, but you know that the only reason I think the headlights are cool is because they are the exact same Factory part number as the GT1 Evo headlights that won LeMans 🤑🤑🤑

I’ve spent the last twenty+ years sitting between the headlights and the taillights of the only Factory 911 to ever win LeMans. And a good bit of that time just in front of that same engine; albeit slightly detuned 🤣🤑
