Low mileage 04 4s Cab/Tip is about to go north of $50k on BaT. Nice red color but still a cab/tip.

Nothing wrong with a Cab... Tip? that's another story...

This one is about to sell for under $30k. Super clean 4S - high mileage though.

it really does seem like things have cooled in the last 30 days. At least at the 4S’s I watch.

Will be interesting to see what this higher mileage 4s will ultimately sell for.. I have never bought or sold or even bid on anything on BAT.. but do these buyers believe there is a premium to the cars on this site? Seems that scouring the public market place on a 996 would yield a much better value?

Totally agree with this. I’ve yet to understand bat, and why it brings the premium it does

BaT used to aggregate the best sellers and the best cars. Now to maximize profit BaT mixes the best cars with mediocre cars from typical used car dealers. All the high end auction houses do some version of this now. You just have to tune the crap out, because you will always find the best of the best on BaT bar none

This one has less than a day to go but seems super low. Currently $17k for a 2005 36k-mile 4S Aerokit.

Looks like it crossed 30k, pretty good for almost 125k miles.

Most people aren't in the market for (generally) a sports car when coming up on the holidays. Especially someone buying in the 996 price range.

Things usually slow down, then pick back up around tax return season funnily enough. Summer is an extension, and then the loop back into fall / holidays continues.

4S leading the wet-sump pack but they’re all going to the same place. They all do

How do we think 4S compares to 40th AE in value?

In terms of most valuable wet sump 996.

40th is a very limited edition, the 4S is more plenteous than any other MKII wet sump variant.
