This guy is 100% correct. I “can afford a newer model” but I actually “want a 911”, so I “buy 996’s” instead. He’s quite brilliant really, who is he? I would enjoy talking to him

First it was “The 996 Will Never Be Collectible”.

Then a 996 GT1 sold for $20M at Sotheby’s in Monaco, and it changed to: “The American 996’s Will Never Be Collectible”

Then 996 GT2’s & GT3’s in America started selling for $100K - $200K over sticker, and it changed to: “The Non-GT 996 Will Never Be Collectible”

Then the Turbo S started selling for $150K - $250K, and it changed to: “The Normally Aspirated Non-GT 996 Will Never Be Collectible”

Then the C4S started selling for $60K+, and it changed at: “The Normally Aspirated Non-GT Narrow Body 996 Will Never Be Collectible”

We are currently in Phase-VI of Road & Track revising this prediction, to somehow justify and account for an ever increasing and exponentially expanding number of 996’s becoming highly “collectible”

Stay tuned to BaT this week, because they’re about to lose the “Normally Aspirated Narrow Body 1999” too...

So by next week it will read: “The Normally Aspirated Non-GT Narrow Body 2000-2004 996 Will Never Be Collectible”

As pathetic as it is hilarious

wow look at the skyrocketing prices of mid-90s CLK coupes clearly it's because they share headlights with the CLK GTR
