Canada is such a great place. Many fond, yet fuzzy, memories. Still have some leftover loonies and toonies laying around in the coin jars!
Great memories there...it's funny what we remember from our yonder years. Living on the west coast of Canada, we regularly dragged our sorry asses across the "line" to places like Seattle, Tacoma, Portland, and beyond for many, many fuzzy memories. Portland specifically...that place was absolute debauchery for a bunch of young Canucks!

Default Old is It!

I couldn’t agree more. I can’t wait to get out of my Macan and jump into my 1980 targa

You could argue this makes it more "pure" in some sense than the 997.

It's in a sweet spot of performance, comfort and usability, and it just so happens to be the cheapest 911 you can buy. No wonder so many people want them.

This times a thousand!!!! I love our Macan to drive, but it is an overly complex ergonomic mess. Exhibit A: The tire pressure monitoring system decides one of the tires was low 4lbs, then 6lbs. It isn't actually low, I measured. On the Audi Q5 the Macan replaced, TPMS only went off when the tire pressure was low, and you simply go into the car menu and select tire pressure reset. On the Macan, there is no such option in the car menu. Then you have to access a different set of menus by holding down the scroll button on the steering wheel. Inexplicably, it displays "Enabling fast air circulation cleaning mode" (or something like that) before pulling up a different menu of settings options on the dashboard). That too, does not have a tire reset option. The funny thing is, I just did this a few months ago and it was so difficult to set, I couldn't remember how I did it. So then, I checked RL (this is all happening real-time as I write this), and someone posted that the dealer says the only way to reset tire pressures is to select a different (incorrect) wheel size, temporarily, and then set it back to the correct tire size. What could be more obvious and intuitive? Well, multi-variable calculus and bitcoin come to mind. So then, I go back to the car to set wheel size, but can't find the tire size menu on either the "car" menu or the steering wheel menu, so I still haven't reset it. It does exist -- I set it last time -- the search continues...

I can't tell you how many things are a step backward on the Macan than the 5 years older Q5.

For me, cars in the early 2000's are ideal -- they have all the creature comforts I need and none of the complexity or "Rubik's ergonomics" menus. I dread each new car, ergonomically. I'll take the safety features in new cars, but everything else I would vastly prefer to live without.

EDIT 1:: Forgot to mention: Why not just check the owners manual? RTFM and all that. Because there isn't one. All there is a set of video tutorials online and a "Good to Know" Porsche app (should be renamed "Wish I Knew"). How many tutorials do they have for resetting tire pressure warnings or changing wheel size? Any number less than 1 would be correct.

/end rant (for now)

EDIT 2: -> Begin rant 2: The sequel nobody cared about or wanted
So, I finally found this document I used the first time (https://enginepartsdiagram.com/porsc...g-light-reset/) where you can reset it in 8 (actually 10) not so easy steps. All you have to is turn the key to on, but do not start the car, then figure how to exit the tire pressure warning screen, then scroll up on display screens to the tire pressure screen, then click the scroll wheel, then change the tire size from 19 all season to anything else, then drive the car for 2 minutes above 16 mph, then stop and reset it to the proper tire size, then drive for about 15 or 20 minutes above 15 mph while it measures the new tires. I had to drive it so long that the wireless CarPlay (via wireless adapter), that is supposed to immediately connect automatically, finally connected on its own about 10 minutes into the tire resetting trip. I love new cars!

Default Factory XAA 7/98 built.

I’m not crazy on the interior but my 408s wheels that are painted guards red would look bad *** in this thing. How much you guys think this goes for???

Possibly a tremendous bargain with the Carfax ding and missing build sticker; both incidental nonsense.

That would be an outright steal, but Carfax does carry a lot of (unsubstantiated IMO) psychological weight with buyers, especially on BaT

It's at basically $30k now, which surprises me. Like bdron said, Carfax really seems to hurt cars on BAT even if it's a non-issue. I think it'll end around $35k.
