Bought my latest Turbo off CL in Greenwich, CT from a retired NYC Lawyer. Safest transaction ever, and amazing car. Not the cheapest deal but Speed Yellow manual Turbos don’t come up every day, not even on BaT. Shudder to think what it would have cost there 🥺😱🤑

Race Car
Speaking of Craigslist, is this really cheap for a 993 or is this what an automatic cab is worth ?

Optionman that’s why I bought it but it was setup for Florida not Brooklyn I actually lifted it about 1.2 inches since delivery and I still have to remove the lip to get in the storage driveway

That must be borderline un-drivable on NYC roads, looks amazing though. I really have begun to love white 911s. Hope to meet up someday, maybe a RL NY/NJ/PA group meet.

I sold a C2 on BaT last year and not one person came in person to see the car. I was shocked. Couple FT video calls, and lots of contact but the car sold without being seen in person at all.
FWIW at least on BaT there is “time” to see & PPI the car if desired. These days I call on cars and they’re already sold first day they hit the website.
PPI, test drives, etc.. are now relics. And the truth is if you’ve got DME, cam deviations, leakdown, oil analysis, & service history then sophisticated buyers feel secure.
Not sure how that all stacks up against actually driving the car.
IE QUESTION: If mutually exclusive, which would YOU rather have: a test drive or all that data??

I've been on the hunt for a manual Speed Yellow 996 for a while. They are definitely hard to come by. You made the right choice! haha

Still worth checking out if you're local and interested. When I got my C4S, the guy I bought it from said that a few people contacted him just to accuse his CL ad of being a scam because the price was too good to be true. Jokes on them for not taking the time to check it out because I got a steal.
