"PS… I was supposed to let my Son paint the latches black after I got done test fitting, completely forgot and finish installed them. He’s still pissed and I would have much preferred them to be black."

Plastidip to the rescue Easy on easy off flat black.

My car has been habitually fatter than I would guess, so this time, setting low (I hope) expectations. But, you’re smart and I like your number way better.

Car goes (hopefully) to corner balance and align on the 27th so we should find out then.

My bet for your car is 2780-90 with a single seat with a full tank. Really the only areas 6Cup will be lighter is the lack of bumper beams, a CF rear bumper cover, lack of a tub cross brace, and a lighter roll cage. The pneumatic jacks and a larger tank add a bit of that weight back.

I would be jacked up of it ended up in the 27XX's, so I hope you're right !

And if you all thought you were through the gratuitous E88 content....Pfffffttttt... Think again.

How about a Laws rocket? I loved firing Ma Duece, especially the sound and smell accompanying it...although night time with tracers are a blast!.

Wow! Those E88s look great. Between those and the bronze rims you are making me want to powder coat my centers. You have made some really impressive progress over the last few months, can't wait to see some track videos!

Thanks man ! In a surprising stroke of someone over performing, the body shop called and said the car is done, picking it up tomorrow.

My suspension place said if I got the car to them by the 27th they would have the corner balance and alignment done in time for me to make the track on the 30th... I thought I was only going to have 1 weekend to make that happen, now having 2, I'm feeling pretty good about being able to get you that first video of the season pretty soon.

Okey dokey….

Awesome day - Tom and Zach at Precision Motorsports gave me the car back after :

Roof install and paint
Paint front bumper
Paint 2 doors, repair passenger
Paint decklid
Paint wing
Paint hood

And they killed it, most of these are race car parts, some well used and they did an awesome job getting it looking really good while beating the timeline and working with me on my budget.

I am stoked with how it is shaping up and when you have a vision in your head and slowly it starts to come to life the way it looked in your head - MAN it is fun and rewarding.

As to paint… it’s black ! Sorry to disappoint anyone looking for an over the top livery - we’ll see if I get bored in the future. I left the ratty side skirts orange, it’s a good homage to the history of the car, and a lot of the parts and frankly, they were too ratty to spend money on painting.

Stay tuned as I hustle to get her finished up and thanks everyone who’s followed along and commented.

Come on Yaz... I'm no savage. Plus, when you have cup mirrors, you run cup mirrors

Easy stuff and early night, long day ahead tomorrow. Uprights and wing, finished up the aero catch hood latches for good and for Yaz - I installed the mirrors
