The 1/4's... Originally, I was going to use the factory mounts but I have backed off a bit on that. I want the 1/4's to be easily removable for easier access to the rear of the car, same with rear windshield... so, I need to put some thought into their final mounting. The Cup 1/4s with venting and NACA just seem like a pain in the *** to keep water out of, especially with an open trailer, and, I like the factory look without them.

Got the hard part out of the way on the lexan door windows.
Started with cutting my window out of another sheet of home depot lexan. Came out looking pretty good so I moved on to attaching it to the door. For this, I used a total of 5 riv nuts I installed in the door frame. 3 M6 and 2 M5. I was very happy I was able to get the riv nuts in the actual door frame. Ended up not having all the hardware I needed to install, but I did have enough for mock up and this solution seems like its going to work very well. The window tucks right under the factory weather stripping which should mean that it keeps the inside relatively dry and it should be out of the wind nicely.
Door frame with riv nuts installed.
And with the window mocked up.
My final plan for mounting is to get some countersink washers from McMaster and glue them to the window and then use a phillips screw to secure. Should take under a minute to remove or reinstall.
Tomorrow I'll get the other side cut, the the black boarder painted and just be waiting on the hardware to be done.

Last Lexan post for a bit.
How fast is it to install windows ?
Fast enough that even though it’s 10 degrees, I had to throw the finish hardware in when I got home and saw it on my door step.

For anti-theft, swap every other Phillips with a Torx.
Thrown in a triple square just to be mean.
You really don't want your dash, or other equipment stolen while you're travelling.

Since there are no locks on the cup doors (don't tell anyone) I was hoping my G19 would be enough.

Already have the G19 though. Side project is putting a KKM barrel and RMR on it with ATEI machining the slide for my own homemade Roland Special, been tough to not have it where it normally lives but ohhh boyeee when it’s done she gonna run.

The project is moving at a bit of a slower pace than I would like right now and temps in the single digits meant I was not brave enough to touch the car last weekend... In any event, got some parts in and not stuff you will find on many C2's... This is about the biggest off the shelf splitter I could find, as much as I would like to tie it together with some undercar enhancements, that is going to have to be custom and not in the cards for this round of changes. Joe Toth made the parts, he is good to work with and a nice guy, I like supporting nice guys that are good to work with and make cool parts.

I hear you. We have the same crappy weather in Chicago.
The splitter looks great. Can't wait to see it on the car.

I considered that same splitter, but opted for the Porsche GT3 Cup car spoiler/splitter instead because of their flexibility.
I’m glad I did because I would have broken the stiff Joe Toth splitter at least once since I installed mine.
Parking stops stink!
I’ve seen a Joe Toth splitter up close and it is a work of art. (I also have his dive planes.)

Being the glutton for punishment I am - I am changing up the wheel / tire package a bit... It worked very well last year but I have this hunger to add as much front end grip, mechanical, aero... whatever - wherever I can find it, I want it.
I am ordering a set of 1.5in outer lips from BBS to bring the front wheels up to a 9.5 and will be running a 275 front along with the 305 rear, sticking with NT01's.
I am prepared to do the modification to the rad bracket and hack that situation so it works. my fender liners are already relatively butchered with the giant holes cut in them for venting so they are pretty flexible at this point. The overall diameter of the 275/35 is actually the exact same as the 245/40 - 25.55 inches. They are a lot wider though, so whatever room was left in the front fenders, and maybe then some should be used well up.
Otherwise - I have had some delays in the build that have been a wee bit troubling. Hoping I finally pull the trigger on coilovers next week, this is something that was for all intent and purposes done and sorted and then due to reasons outside my control fell through. As I was, at the time just going with what someone told me to do with regards to setup and valving and brand etc... I had not done a lot (any) of my own leg work - that changed and I've been playing catch-up since. The thing I have found is, when you talk to 5 suspension experts, you will likely get 5 different approaches of the best path for your particular case. In my case, all of the opinions have come from people who are very smart at doing this type of consultation, they have been very generous with their time and I am beyond appreciative of the conversations I've had, I've learned a lot - making it even harder to try to determine what, ultimately, is the best path to go. Also, the money we are talking for the parts means, for me, its a decision with real consequence and ramifications that go into the future with regards to the type of support that can make or break an investment like this.
Also, the car is still sitting in my garage - it was supposed to go in for chassis work on DEC 10 - it is now JAN 23... This has a cascading effect on what was at one point, a very manageable schedule. I have received a commitment that should allow this to be a bump in the road and not a road block, but any additional delays to the schedule will start to put the season start at risk.
And this is something I have not dealt with in a long time - when you are dependent on others, pick those others wisely because you go no further than they allow, when they allow it.
PS - THANK YOU @De Jeeper for doing a brother a solid and picking up a set of wheels for me (they're getting street tires for rain and inspection time). I really appreciate it man !
