Nice looks Yaz... I still can't bring myself to spend 60 bucks on a sticker. I'll see how a couple knock off's look.

Knock off hood decals.. NOT GOOD… I’ve had a couple, the paint flakes off when flexed during install and then flakes when washed.
Porsche OEM lightweight/ RS decal no equal. Installed for 4 years no fade, no flake.

Maybe true my man… for now, I’ll run badgeless before I spend 60 bucks on a sticker.
Or… you replace the decal once a year for the life of the car and still save money over the OE piece.
Just a priorities thing so different strokes for different folks.

Stock hood is off - it weighed 32.5 LBS on my scale, the latch stuff prob added another LB or so. Heading out to beautiful Hartford, CT to pick up my new hood tomorrow. We'll see what the savings is, if it doesn't knock 20 LBS off I'm gonna be irritated.
Mocked up the aero catch hood pins, gonna have not a lot of time to get the actual aero catch lateches installed and it looks kind of like a pain the ***, I hate cutting carbon.

Well, the new hood weighed in at 16 LBS so a savings of 16.5 LBS...Not 20. But, considering I paid 525 to my door, I'll take it...but yes, I am slightly irritated.
I couldn't wait to test fit it up, the good, it actually fits pretty well. The bad, I needed to remove the trunk weather stripping to achieve the OK fit. So, I need to try to find a happy medium there. That can wait though.
After thinking more about the aero catch hood pins, I do not think they are going to work without fabricating a custom bracket to get them in from the edge. The issue is the hood sits very close to the sheetmetal where I have the pins and I do not think there will be clearance for the portion of the aero catch latch that protrudes through the hood and catches on the locking pin. I need to look at it some more and maybe even take a measurement or two but I am going to order a set of standard hood pins. Getting the aero catch wrong means big holes in the hood and I'm not going to go for it unless I am sure it will work. Would be a shame to not use them but I can't fabricate anything, let alone 2 of the exact same anythings so that is kind of out.

I have a used set of Sparco hood pins that were on my rear deck when I received it.
I filled the holes before having the rear deck/spoiler painted.
Let me know if you want them.

Haven’t mentioned 🙂. Thinking the whole car will be done reveal style on IG and YT to try to drive some traffic.
Just build updates here until she’s done and then I’ll do a big write up here after of all the changes.
I like big colors crazy shapes but also classic so folks will just have to use their imagination until it’s done.

Aerocatch installed. Feeling like a lot of fiddling on fit to come but OK for the moment. Feels pretty race car.
