Nothing to do with my build other than the fact that its builds like this that hit me right in the jelly's... big aero, fancy new tech in an old chassis (I think this is a tube chassis in actuality... ya know what I mean though), modern race car.

ETA... And it's not embedding the IG link...

In the release they discussed that the suspension uses GPS telemetry to adjust based on the info it sees. Oh and it makes 1400hp... I need to be home for the summers man, I'd love to see this car in person.

I think the S class introduced that tech a while back so that the suspension could predict bumps in the road and stuff.

People are so ridiculously smart and I'm so stupid lol

That's insanity, apparently Ken's data came from his last run.

Very cool car. 2500 lb car with 5000 lbs of downforce propelled by 1400 hp. Wow. Even though porsche is under the vw umbrella with audi, interesting that he isn't using an audi given the rally contract. Either way, it's great to see the 911 re-imagined once again. 2016 R engine but couldn't find info on which 911 body they used. Can't wait to see and hear it in action.

Well you know I'm getting close to being able to put the car back together when I spend a **** load of money on boring stuff.

Wheel bearings (thanks @De Jeeper - I was going to let them slide until your situation)
Axle nuts
Oil (painfully expensive)
Brake fluid (semi painfully expensive)
Spark plugs
Air filter
Serp belt

When that stuff arrives, I think I will have all the parts I need to put the car back together.

Side note, I have a case of Driven DT40, if someone wants it, preferably local - I will let it go at a steep discount. Since I am not having the hoped for pre season street shake down, no need for the street oil.

Always appreciate when people help fund my questionable automotive decisions

If you can't find anyone local let me know as I will take the oil if you can ship or bring down later this year...

Yup, XP9. It was what was recommended by LN when I put their sump on, I figured run the oil they recommend. The engine has not yet chucked a rod, so I keep using it. My filters always come out looking good so I have not tried anything else. The reality is, I change the oil every 2-3 track days or so, usually no more than around 6HRS run time, so I don't think a lot of time for wear to show on the filter unless something catastrophic was about to go down.

I can ship it, I just think that it will add a bunch to the cost. I'd like to get $100 for the case, cheapest I see online is 160. The XP9 I just bought was $200 for the case after shipping and taxes and my motor will take just about all 12 QTS of it... 12 QTS of oil and still not enough to maintain oil pressure... wild !

Honestly, I almost went to something that would hurt my wallet less, but in the interest of trying to keep the motor together so I can get some money for it next winter, I decided to just stay the course..

Keeping the course is the smart move as it seems to running great... The cheapest i saw is $175 shipped for a case so let me know what you want shipped and PM and we can figure it out brother. Hopefully the UIDS will solve all the oil starvation issues ...can't wait for mine

Felt like if I didn't do it - fate would punish me.

Some progress on cage... almost there.

And... I asked @yaz996 to design and print me up some harness collars to replace the hose clamps I was using and he absolutely slayed it, they are perfect. The stuff he has made for me clearly comes from an engineering mind, I've asked for something... and he's made it something you can hold in your hand that exceeded what I asked for yet is simple - thank you man, I really appreciate it.
