Spent an hour trying to pull the hvac harness from the bottom to the top with no success. Had me so frustrated. It keeps getting snagged and outside of pulling apart the dash, no idea how to fish it through

Does the air bag cover pop off just by pulling it? That may help

Sorry, I don't have any plans to sell. It will go back on at some point when my mood changes.

Pulled the motor for maintenance. Took about 4 hrs to pull and seperate the trans. Didnt think that was bad.

Got a few things to address like a leaky ln ims flange. I thought it was the rms. Will start a new thread on that one. Also someone must a gauled up a bolt pulling the trans now its a stud. Ill probably have to cut, drill and helicoil it. I dont think i could extract it without cracking the case because it wouldnt budge with a fair amount of heat.

After the install, I only drove the car long enough to bring it up to temperature before putting it back in the garage. I haven't had a chance to take for a real drive but I'll be very surprised if I notice any difference.

Yep, doubt if your "seat of the pants" will notice anything. If you had dyno'd it before and after, you'd see some difference, but ever so slightly.

Hmmm, that makes me question if I want to keep the cubby. Also, this is OCD but you could maybe put an o-ring around each switch to hide the back part.

I am certain the buttons could be made more OE looking, just not a priority for me.

They are rock solid and functional, making them look nice will be a project for when the project list is short.

Knowing where you are going in your build I highly encourage you to be inspired by mine, do it better, then I’ll copy yours

Is there much difference between a 997 3.8s box and a 3.6 box? they look very similar on the exterior, however, one costs half as much (used) than the other.
