Now, I need to figure out how to get it off without scratching the paint...
I drove to work really fast and almost all is off. I think the key is get them off before the next morning temperature rise where the flakes will collect moisture and stick. Maybe some spirited driving at 4am!
Cleaning them off is the job for tomorrow. Luckily my paint is far from perfect...
My turn to do motor mounts today. Not too bad a job, and I had my kids help out, which is always fun. Car is much smoother at idle and higher rpms now. Plus, my exhaust tips are no longer sagging!

looking good. Seems like the a popular DIY maintenance item. Where is the best place to buy the new mounts?
I used these after a lot of research. I didnt want it too stiff, but not factory soft. These are upgraded with poly injection. Do a search the members love them. Me included.
the worst part of the job was getting the MAF sensor to disconnect. http://www.function-first.com/produc...-mount-upgrade

As mentioned above, the Function First mounts are popular with folks who want a firmer mount and don’t mind a little extra vibration. However, it seems like the go-to engine mounts for most Rennlisters are the ones from Rein, which are a factory-style replacement.
