^^^ Ethanol - it eats all the rubber bits in the carbs and the fuel lines You may as well replace the carbs (they're usually around $60 - $80) - in the future don't leave gas in them if you can help it...

Picked it up after basic detailing and small paint touch up. Since i just had the rims refinished i decided to have them ceramic coated along with the red brake calipers.

Yep, the fuel in the gas can has gone bad I think.
It was treated with Sta-Bil, but I'm not sure how long ago.

The continuing saga of my spare time AOS replacement:

The removal of the old AOS was not too difficult, except for the second bolt on the AOS.
Now that I know the trick, next time (I hope not) will be much easier.
Installing the new AOS was very easy.
It only took me 30 minutes to get the hoses on and the bolts in.
The intake manifold was also easy to get back on.
Then I saw this:

DOH!

So now I get to wait until Wednesday for a new oil filler tube.
Since I had to remove the idler pulley to get the alternator loose so I could get to the second oil filler tube bolt, I decided to order a couple of idler pulleys while I was at it.
I also ordered some hard vacuum lines and elbows.
I should have had them on hand in case I broke one of those...now that I've broker 2 other items, I decided there was no way that I wasn't going to be prepared for those tiny plastic vacuum lines going forward.
If I don't use them now, I'm sure I will need them in the future.

That's interesting. When on the freeway I am usually going 80mph and don't really need that spoiler up (at 75mph) just for normal freeway cruising. Car looks better with it down.

Drove it to my Sister's in La Mesa to borrow her hair clippers. Came back home and did two things I've never done in my entire life. One was cutting my own hair and the second was making bread from scratch.
There will be no pics of the haircut but here's one of the bread.

Changed the parking bulbs in the headlights. And mounted a rear view camera. Just so everyone knows, pushing a wire through that grommet in the back is a MAJOR %#*&^$ pain ... not to mention all the interior trim and carpet on the passenger side had to be removed. And bumper, but that was easy. Found alot of loose crap that we tightened up, though.

FYI - An easy and long-term fix for the broken filler tube is to wrap it in a section of 2" marine grade heat-shrink. It looks stock and makes it a lot more flexible.

Of course, yours broke at a slightly different place but it should work the same.

So I consider myself a novice when it comes to auto mechanical work but am trying to learn more every day. Yesterday I replaced all 4 wheel center caps w/ new ones from Suncoast (newbie admission - apparently I have to go back and just to make the bottom of the crests point to the valve stems ). Also replaced a brake light bulb and the drive belt! Really proud of that last one...was actually very easy (Thanks you Youtube!). Planning on AOS/IMS/RMS/Clutch at my local Indy sometime in the near future. Will leave the heavy lifting to the pros!

Wheel center caps is a great one to pop your cherry on! Kudos on the belt change.

That looks like a good idea.
I‘ll have to pick up some 2“ heat shrink in case it ever happens again. ( or to help others )
I’ve already ordered a new filler tube from Pelican Parts.
I was shocked at the price!
$75

Also note that you "paid yourself" a couple hundee, instead of paying someone else... It pays to be handy
