I picked up a set of 17 wheels off Craigslist.
Owner of nice Guards Red 996.1 cab replaced them with 19” off a 997.
They had some old Cooper Zeon tires with lots of tread and ancient date codes.
They were cheap ($200) so I don’t mind replacing the tires with some cheap all-seasons.
All 4 have some minor scratches.
I don’t want to spend the money to have them powdercoated.
Can anyone suggest a DIY paint to use that will look nice?
I prefer silver wheels, but might consider a different color.
I’ve had black wheels before and I’m not sure I want black.
While I was washing them a neighbor came over and said a friend of his had some he wanted to get rid of.
I told him I’d buy them for $200 too if they’re in good shape.
If nothing else I can pass them on to someone else.
...or buy some racing tires...

Dupli color wheel paint seems to do ok with good preparation.
