Default Installed the Rennkitt Bluetooth adaptor

Pretty simple installation with two comments. First, getting all of the wires tucked back in behind the radio was the hardest part. Took several tries. I also found some of the wires to be very thin for the cost of the kit and an automotive application.
I knocked out an unused switch (the lowest one under PSM was open) next to the radio and installed the Bluetooth controller in its place. Used gorilla glue and a vice to mount and it looks good. Avoids having a cable exposed on the dash.
The sound from the unit is ok, not great but as expected. I just want to stream Sirius and podcasts from my phone so it’s fine.
Happy New Year 996rs and all the best for 2020.

I added the two middle ones. The ones nearest the door get covered when the door is open. Now I‘ll have adequate lighting when the door is up, and overwhelming when it is closed.
Dope. I def. need more light in my garage. How do you turn on the ones that plug in to the ceiling? Are they connected to a switch?

I've been switching all my fluorescents over to LED bulbs (<5000K). Huge improvement over the aged tubes. You can never have enough light.

Drove it to it's second vineyard in 2 weeks for family and friend time. Started off the new year right with some 3 pedal action in the mountains and relaxation.

Nice. More light is always good. When I built my garage a couple of years ago, I converted a bunch of fluorescent fixtures over to LED. Huge difference. Looks like I'm not the only one...

Indirectly related to what I am doing on my 996, I installed a furnace in my shop over the Christmas break. After a little tweaking, I got it firing on all five cylinders.

It's nice to step in to a warm shop and go to work on stuff like this:
Did a bit of cleanup on the engine so I can get serious about disassembly. Figure the heads will go the Hamheads and the case halves to LN. Big plans, not enough time in the day to be where I want to be...

Need to get the exhaust system off now.

Yes, they’re all connected to the light switch next to the door.
It overwhelmingly bright with all 6 of them now.
Just what I was hoping for!

Went to my local dealer and ordered a new key blank/remote (my 2000 C4 Cab only came w/1 key) and a new passenger visor (broken) today. Also ordered a new driver's side window regulator from Amazon.

About $800 in total before coding the remote ($189) and installing the visor (unknown amt the the dealer; just more convenient) and about $500 for my indie to install the regulator. Oh yeah, I'll also have to pay the dealer to diagnose the problem(s) w/my CLS (central locking system) which will cost about another $200 (to be credited to the cost of repair(s) whatever they may be. LOL!

I had a USB port in the dash and inside the console. I found that four USB ports was overkill so I switched the dash one back to a cigarette lighter style.

Is this one of the Continental radios? Thinking about picking up one to replace the aftermarket one for a more stock and less flashy look.

Today was the first day in a long time where I had both free time and good weather so went for a drive up the coast and had brunch.

Yes, it's the Continental with the optional Porsche sticker that Bergvill sells. I had been considering putting the Becker back in because I thought it sounded better. I had the S.O. with me today and she likes to sing along with the volume up. After a couple of hours with it turned up to 11, I'm revising my opinion of the Continental. BTW, I hate when you're singing along to a song and the artist gets the lyrics wrong...

Thanks, I have the stock one but some of the more modern features would be nice.

Can’t beat the Pagid rotors (rock auto?), the Quality for the price is ridiculous!
