Between a 1k & a 24k unit, i'd pay $50k more.
in this case, i'd say $1/mile.

I got offered $ 98,000 for my C 4 S with 118 K on it. NOW- everything's been done, but I did put it in the ditch last year avoiding a deer and it's on the carfax, but no real issue and documented -and a year ago I'd sell it for that. Not sure now....

Is Polar considered a special color commanding a premium? I happen to love it.

Agreed, the Ocean Blue 1998 Carrera S at auction on Bring a Trailer appears to be a solid daily driver 993. Reading through the service invoices shows the usual 993 areas of concern. The Boulder, CO area independent shop uses a 5w-40 oil fill for an oil/filter service. Doesn't anybody read the Owners Manual . .. . . .

Following this sale .... Lemme guess $?

Default Factor $

Factor an additional $20,000 minimum for engine rebuild at that mileage. So don’t get too excited on this well used example.

Why would it need a 20k engine rebuild?

If the engine has not been rebuilt at that mileage it's going to need it at some point. Not to say it does immediately but it will need it. At least a top end which is less expensive.

I suppose the same could be said for any car.

I get the idea, just saying if it's not going to be daily driven, ran up to 200k overnight and currently doesn't have issues, someone could get many years out of it vs say, immediately budget 20k for a rebuild.
