Prices are steady on clean cars, but story cars or vague sellers you can see are sitting on the market @tarek307 listed this one last night with 120,000 mile and it’s already sold, was priced at $126K priced right i think.

Healthy price for that mileage.. but agree, prices on nice specs that are that clean and vetted are still firm.

seller who has the car listed now knows of the front end repairs - he has been informed

Rudy's estate sold a silver c4s at gooding's auction with 110k miles and it sold for $95 + fees. Rudy reconditioned that car before he passed - probably a better deal than Tareks.

and again…. Wasn’t the “proper venue” to sell his cars as many have said.

charlie ross is my absolute favorite auctioneer and he even commented on Rudy's cars being "rudyfied" during one of the sales, but i seriously doubt he knows the term and what it means as far as Rudy's cars were concerned. i guess i would say that the typical Gooding clientele isn't as prone to get overly excited about individual markets in the way we see BaT reacting to them. the audience that BaT has gained is also quite tremendous at this point. not to say that a Gooding audience is only the people in the room, but certainly doesn't have the constant daily participation that BaT now does.

i agree that Gooding may not have brought top dollar for each car, although it certainly did on certain examples, but it did bring a near $2M lump all in one day to the family. Gooding also takes care of the marketing, the brochure, the information. Imagine sitting down and selling 18 cars in a row on BaT and being proactive on all auctions, answering the peanut gallery on all topics. I am 100% sure what Gooding offered Gigi was far more attractive in one large transaction than any alternative doing them independently.

showroom price my ***. why not state it was recently bought at a very well known, tremendously respected auction house at a 'discount' to their 'discount' price.

Sorry, are they supposed to pay more than they list their inventory for?

This oarticular car was owned by a rennlister who sold the car to Rudy in 2021 for quite a bit less than what it's listed for and what it sold for at Gooding.

we all understand the game. it's their choice of wording i find funny and that you should assume you're getting a deal over "showroom prices". who's showroom?

it would have been great if it just landed in private hands at that price.

^^^^ “Aspirational” price to say the least…

I was at DRT this past weekend. Some of the cars presented for sale were also aspirational pricing but if serious, could be had for much less.
