If Porsche was concerned, it would already be stopped.
100%. The new model marketing mix most certainly includes strategic "leaks" to generate buzz and excitement. If they cared that much, people would be signing NDA's. They know when they release info its going to get out. Thats the game, they play it to their advantage.
I took delivery of my 911 at Zuffenhausen yesterday, and I am at the Roomers hotel in Baden-Baden. The hotel garage below is partly closed due to a VIP private event tomorrow evening where the 992.2 will be shown.
I won’t be able to take a peek, as I am leaving in the morning headed to Switzerland.
Not sure if it's that exact event but there are European press and car bloggers who will have access to the 992.2 hybrid well before May 28 --- it's just embargoed until May 28. There will be a second US journalist wave in June
Let’s hope we will have some more info the next days/weeks, especially the S vs GTS comparison should be very interesting. We know the engine displacement is different but what else?

I was in Baden-Baden this time in 2019 when they were doing the 992.1 press events. Exciting stuff!

On a serious note: This event probably means tomorrow we will have more info.

I am super interested in what the price increase will look like. Look what Aston did with the Vantage - monster increase. Hopefully Porsche doesn’t do the same. A well equipped S getting close to $200K USD just feels crazy to me.

This. We're creeping up in price to the point where the brand is just going to be priced out of my affordability range. I'm buying one now because, at the rate they're going, I won't be able to afford the 994.

This the reason I jumped on a very recent allocation for 24 C2S. Figured I was getting enough car and didn’t want to pay anything more for one even if it has additional HP. Plus I didn’t want to wait but still very interested in what the.2 across the board will be offering in terms of performance and styling changes.

When I started thinking about ordering a new 911 in 2019, it started at $92k (991.2). Now we’re at $114k ahead of the 992.2 announcement. I wouldn’t be surprised to see the base price crest $120k, but probably not $130.
So that’s 22k in five years. But once optioned out, to get a manual the way I want it, real MSRP has increased by what seems like double that number.

Made the exact same decision. The non SD redesigned bumpers don’t look dramatically different so styling wise it’s a wash. I’m sure new S will be a bit faster but I bet new base price will be $140K or so. ADMs will run rampant too at least in SoCal. Amazing the price increases that Porsche has gotten away with but plenty of willing buyers. I guess the price increases at least help stem depreciation of the 992.1. But at what point do buyers start eyeing a used Ferrari Roma for example vs a 992.2 new GTS or even a 992.2 S - these prices are getting closer.
