The article behind this video says that the Turbo will be a non-hybrid, only the Turbo S will be a hybrid. That's one variation on the model lineup I haven't read before.
My sales manager today told me there wont be anymore 992.1 allocations offered, unless the dealer already has some that arent allocated to customers yet. Going forward will be 992.2 and interestingly, the 992.2 GTS allocations will be offered first.
I heard that the 992.2 announcement will be centered around GTS model and apparently GTS will be hybrid and may not have a manual… they are also not calling it hybrid but rather electric support or something like that
But how will Porsche charge extra for colored slats?
Looks like there are separate pieces that can still be painted.
I still think the 991.2 is one of the most beautiful designs of the later generations. I own a 992.1 and had a 991.2. I like them almost the same from a design perspective, but do prefer the rear bumper (not lights) on the 991.2. I'm not judging the 992.2 until the actual car gets unveiled. I think in the end there are always changes that one likes and changes that one doesn't. Some grow on you and some don't. IMHO
Everyone hating on the .2 like their 992.1 is some kind of modern classic, while simultaneously providing “ I heard a rumour” information out their butt about the 992.2 - is PEAK Rennlist.
Anyone else “remember” when everyone in the 718 forums were fighting off the GTS 4.0 because the turbo 4 was “more powerful” hah!
1. death
2. taxes
3. people who will hate on the new model of a car to make themselves feel better about their car
Not everything is about “hate”. Some of you extrapolate without intellectually considering that certain aesthetic things or certain engineering aspects will not resonate with everybody. The new front bumper looks worse to me and I already didn’t care for the 992’s slatted deck lid (…which is why I’m running the GT3 T deck lid on my car); the .2 deck lid looks worse than the one from the .1. I do like the all digital gauges of the .2, but you have people here who won’t and it’ll be a dealbreaker.

Nobody said it wasn’t better engineered.

@M3Inline6 As a connoisseur of decklids, what are your thoughts?
I don’t care for it brotha, but I am partial to the GT decklids…..as you know. lol!

Im not trying to feel better about my 992.1purchase but.... a car with an analog engine and analog manual transmission should have an analog tachometer. That's all Im going to say
