Production likely will start on September after the summer break. Someone on here has an allocation for a GTS August build.
Production start - and EU dealer allocations - as of now is July. Mostly is base and gts 2 in June. Most gts will start in August.
There is still a lot of unknown - that I personally do not know, dealers do know - that makes the decision very difficult. I also do have - gtrs 4 allocated for production in August and delivery in September.
The questions for me are:
1) What hybrid turbo tech does the 2024 gts get? Is is the expected T-HEV or something else? 540bhp is a tremendous power increase in porsche land between generations
2) It seems the “game changing” T-HEV is launching with the carrera s in 2025. So again as in 1) what do we get in the 540bhp GTS in 2024?
3) If the GTS does not get the T-HEV at launch will it get it in 2025 with the carrera s launch? If yes then it might not be a good buy?
4) It seems the Turbo (non S) would be fully ICE and is a 2025 release and seems like a very interesting buy as it will be the last of the last - not thinking about depreciation but simply buying the last of an era.
These are the questions and thoughts for final decisions for me and we will have the answers very soon.
I have no idea about the turbo and turbo s. If turbo is ICE only then it could be a very interesting vehicle - i.e the last of the ICE only turbos
S and GT3 will come early 2025.
What is puzzling is why the carrera s comes next year. It seems there are 2 explanations:
1) Uses a different hybrid technology from the gts i.e 400V vs 48V
2) It is more difficult to adopt the hybrid technology to the 3.0L engine the S is supposed to be using compared to the 3.6L engine the GTS will supposedly be using. This follows 1) to be honest
Dealers do have the info but for now their interest I guess is the two cars (base and gts) that will be released shortly.
