Curious about the battery warranty that facilitates the ETurbo and its associated functions. Wonder if it gets an extended warranty like other electric vehicles or just considered as another consumable.
Every time I go into the configurator to design a car I get a little uncomfortable not seeing the analog tach. Its not just nostalgia, its the fact that it was a beautiful piece that visually connected you to the cars engine. I have to imagine some hard core discussions had to happen inside Porsche to decide to remove it. The digital tach just doesn't do it in this car. It is ok in all others but not this one
The 992.2 GTS is going to be fast af once tuners adjust the A/F ratio to run it rich, considering its a 3.6L and boosted at 26 PSI. The 992.1 Turbo S is already 640HP at 17 PSI, and weighting over 3600lbs.
Alas no manual, but I don't think a 7-Speed manual is suited for this kind of power/response. Biggest bummer imo is the particulate filter, which I hope isn't coming to the states or it's at least removable.
Your psi assumption is quite understated for the Turbo S. It is around 23 psi in the 992.1. Hence the turbo lag.
If you go to the Savagegeese youtube video - https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=dkPFyXvhvzo at the 13 min mark they talk about the charging system and battery depletion. It gives me the impression that for track use, there is a limit to how long you might have full electric power. Is there a chance that if you are doing 4 to 5 25-minute HPDE track sessions, you might not get full power after say 1 or 2 sessions?
after reading the motor trend article. It sounded like higher rpm driving, more exhaust outflow and braking recharges the batteries. I assume the harder you drive on track the more the battery is charged. The lab coat engineers will have it dialed in. We will see after the press drives it on track what they report back. I would assume driving with cruise control on the highway at speed limits would not charge as fast as track use.

sorry, I actually watched the video. Good point, he probably didn’t apply the brake as much as we would. But yes that will be a all out issue for the talented drivers😀 but that is what the gt3 rs are for
That muffler is very strange still curious on where the air filter is
You can see what I’m pretty sure is the air box here over the intercooler. It lines up with the compressor outlet in the pic above, and also seems to include a blowoff valve that discharges back into the air box behind where the filter would be.
Edit: and if not there, wouldn't the turbo placement locate the air filter where it is in the current 992 Carrera behind the passenger rear wheel?
Just got back from a great drive in my 992C2S manual
Enjoyed the manual and surprisingly the turn key to start on a clear 80F degree sunny day with twisty roads
Maybe look at it this way as a small consolation prize, as they go away, then there are now two things in the previous versions to help prevent theft in a few years as no one will know how to start the car or drive away.
HA... I will take my reduction in insurance premiums right now

You seem to be forgetting the battery is being used a max capacity in these situations. Sure it is charging, but not as fast as it is being depleted, otherwise why would the Porsche engineer say it is zero after a full out lap at the ring? We will see reports from the test drives I'm sure.
your math is wrong. The turbos provide 11Kw of regen at WOT. You’re not going to deplete it without some quality idiocy. There’s also no brake regen mentioned and it wouldn’t make sense in this config. It’s not a Tesla. It’s a lot more similar (although still different) to an artura or 296.
So today I learned something new while configuring my 992.2 GTS, the warranty is now 4 years standard, and the Hybrid System has 8 Years warranty, Other than the light Design Package, RAS, and PDCC which are now also standard.
The 992.1 GTS that I was configuring only increased by 15K USD (I converted from my local currency) compared to the 992.2. So for an extra 60HP, 4 years in warranty, plus the RAS (I have not configured RAS on my previous build), I think I'm getting a good deal.
My Order:
Vanadium Grey (Previously I wanted Arctic Gray or Crayon, but crayon will add 2K to the build)
Leather Interior Black
Sports Seats Plus 18 Ways
Exterior Package in High Gloss Black + Aero Kit
Electric Glass Sunroof
Brake Calipers in Gloss Black
84-Liter Fuel Tank
Tinted HD-Matrix LED Headlights
Heated GT Leather Sports Wheel
Yellow Seatbelts
Porsche Crest on Headrests
Sports Chorno in Yellow
GTS on Storage Compartment
Surround View with Active Parking Support
Lance Change Assist
Inoiser
HomeLink
