According to Porsche, "More than three quarters of all Porsche 718 and 911 models delivered today are equipped with PDK"

The younger generation of buyers may be less loyal to or motivated by the manual transmission. .

The fake key thing was a little silly. It wasn't terribly ergonomic and didn't really make a lot of logical sense as a starter other than referencing the fact that it used to be a key that was inserted. I guess I understand how some would prefer the tactility of the fake key switch, but in most cases I don't like fake anything. If you get rid of the key, then don't give me a pretend key. That's one reason I really don't like skeuomorphic "fake analog" digital dials.
The key point is to have L sided starter and they retained that.

New base engine is actually not a carryover - it has significant revisions (though you wouldn't notice it from the basic specs).

Curious if the 1' improvement to the turning diameter between the two models is simply due to RAS being considered a standard feature on the 992.2 or if the purported improvements to the RAS infrastructure/mechanics are driving the change.

Weight isnt comparable as well, as for example .2 comes with rear seats removed, while they are by custom on .1. To compare the real change (which would prolly be around +100kg) we would have to weight two IDENTICALLY configured cars.

The whole turning the key fob on the left was something special to me. While I like the start button on my M2, I’m not expecting it from my BMW. I am disappointed they also started charging for Guard Red, but not charging for white or black. It seems the interior is slightly cheapened overall. My 991.2S is now a relic lol.

Turning radius is nothing surprising, 992.2 comes with rear axle steering as standard, while .1 doesnt. With RAS added they will have same radius.

The weight gain on a turbo s will be around 70-80kg instead of 50 kg due to back seats, not one but two e turbos. When this is taken into account, it needs a 675 hp to break even. 710 hp sounds like such a small improvement considering the current TTS already has insane traction with AWD. New TTS will probably cost $25k more. You can spend 1/7th of that and tune the current car for 800hp. Having owned multiple TTS, I can say without a doubt the TTS in its current form is so fast that you are not using even 20% of the power 99% of the time.
I am also really really REALLY doubtful lol that newer hybrid porsche will be tuneable without breaking stuff. The e motor may not play nice with tune and I cant even imagine the cost to replace one out of warranty.
