Things I wish the new 992.2 would have:
-better sounding stock sport exhaust (not gonna happen).
-better PDK paddles (similar to the the GT3RS, also not gonna happen).
-no PDK nubbin stalk (not happening)
-Grabbier standard brakes (maybe?)
-lighter overall weight (nope)
-higher redline (on Turbo charged models, Ferrari's go to ~8k rpm, and not gonna happen).
-lightweight bucket seats with more articulation.
-better standard color palette.
-Factory ducktail option for all models.
-nicer looking aero kit.

Instead , Porsche says, here is a more expensive, heavier hybrid for you. Thing is, I'm still very curious and eager to know the final specs and details. 10 more days...

Cheap, fast, reliable. Choose two — you want lighter weight. Me too. Another $100,000 to the MSRP though.

also —what you are not hearing about yet is the good stuff. None of us really care about the hybrid powertrains. But there’s some good stuff coming too.

Andreas Preuninger has repeatedly stated that if individuals want lighter weight then maybe they should consider losing some weight themselves. 😂 Valid point.

Eturbo tech is a completely different beast and tuning will not be easy.

Liked my 991.2 dash WAYYYY better than my 992. Still, I really enjoy the car so there's that. It's just with every modernization of the 911 it gets better; performs better. But with each upgrade, with every added chip, screen or battery...it loses a piece of it's soul.

As long as we are wishing for things on the .2, would it be too much to ask Porsche to give us back a seat recliner mechanism that could actually be used without contortions and broken straps?

Quite true; even for the new C43 AMG Merc, which has an E-Turbo, theres very little options. Im not too far from M-Engineering and Fabspeed which I will approach and possibly be the guinea pig for downpipe development and prospective ecu tuning.. I think once unlocked the GTS will be the ultimate power/weight ratio car tuned.. ill def keep the forum updated on this once the car arrives...

I wish I had confidence that there would still be a fully ICE (no battery or capacitor) Porsche 911 ten years from now. And twenty. We're having to play there stupid sunsetting games, like never before. Has me considering spec'ing my "final" 911, never would have had worry about this before the "green" morons took power.

David - Good news: Porsche will be happy to provide reclining seats and electric steering wheel adjustment as a new $3,000 option. Hey, it’s the Porsche way, right!

disagree. A brand new 992.2 C4S is going to be 160k with options plus adm.

I see used Roma from 190K online. I admit a used Roma is still more expensive, but they are in the same ballpark.

But I was mostly referring to a new 992 RS vs a used F8 Tributo. The new normal crazy adms of the 992 RS definitely put it into used Ferrari F8 territory.
