Was doing the factory tour last year and our guide literally told us China is their biggest market right now. Maybe it changed the past months but still , they're planning for the next decade and China is their priority.
CN is a very important market for Macan. #1, 2 or 3, still very important. For 911, not as much.
I was at the dealer meeting in Singapore, we saw the car. We got to see drive the Macan Turbo EV, the new Taycan, and the new Panamera, we also got to meet Dua Lipa which was a highlight for me.

How cool!
Did you mean you saw the 992.2 when you said “we saw the car”?

I added the pictures from the investor conference to my original post (Europe 32%, North America excl. Mexico 27%, and China 25% for 2023 deliveries). I think the weakness in China will be longer term (per Peter Zeihan). It may not be a total collapse but the demographics, political system, and economic system just don't support long term strength. I don't see a lot of strength coming from Europe either, but I still think it will do better than China over the next decade.

Thanks for the data . I live in Guangzhou and supposed to have some realistic perspectives. the Gov did tons of tilts on EV in the past dacade like tax-free,the plate quota, and lifetime warranty.,etc. Those companies are making EVs in a different pricing strategy which is a huge impact to traditional ICE brand.
Roughly say,in the past, cars price is basically determined by horsepower and nowadays EV just give every one chances to own and experience what we called PERFORMANCE during ICE age. 500hp? easy on EV. I don't really think that's something about economic situations, the Gov just pushing out ICE from town, not only Porsche.
and I'm not happy with it
Having a sports car is kind of pointless in China. There are so many speed cameras everywhere that you can’t go more than the posted limits. And everyone is a distracted driver, on phones constantly while driving (WeChat, TaoBao, etc.). I’ve seen a few nice cars there in Shanghai and Suzhou, but very few and far between. It’s just a flex for factory owners but the rich rarely drive themselves anyway. Why have a 911 when you can only go 60kph?
The German Configurator is stating the following message for all 992 models (click on "ausverkauft")
" The model you selected is no longer available as a freely configurable new car. We would still like to give you the opportunity to continue viewing the model in the Car Configurator. If you are interested in available existing vehicles and young used vehicles, please contact your Porsche Center."

It's at least 2 weeks or more that I noted these messages on the DE configurator.
I've been told "September" but I don't know if it's the presentation or the first deliveries in Germany

September is usually when the next model year vehicles start arriving at dealerships. It could really be any day now that they announce it and turn on the configurator.
My dealer says September orders and February deliveries in Canada. But who knows if he is right?
That’s what I was quoted for the then announced CGTS 4.0 in 2020 here in Vancouver.
Ended up getting my ‘21 in December 2020, much earlier.
I already have my 992.2 on order with money down, so it may be the same or later ( I assume actually February this time )
That being said, this is pure speculation. I expected an actual deliver in the 2025 calendar year to begin with.
Be cool to really play around with the configurator though.
