Hi, I'm speccing a manual 992 Carrera T right now and was wondering what would be the must have options you recommend?
Full bucket seats?
Leather?
Sunroof? (glass or metal?) (I know...I know T ethos)
Rear seats? (911 ethos
)
Anything else?
Thanks in advance!!

screw the "ethos" and spec what you want. That is the stupidest thing being said in this thread repeatedly if you ask me. If you build a car based on perceptions of what it should be then you are only fooling yourself.

Awesome! Can’t wait to see your cheap $12k interior pics, ha.

I would go as far to say most T buyers who are specing it against the “ethos” would probably not have bought the T if all models were readily available to order.
With all that said, in this market, I don’t blame anyone who has an allocation from specing it however they want. And in general, there should be no prohibition against any particular option. They all have a reasonable purpose for a particular buyer’s needs.

I was on lists for base and s. I reluctantly jumped on (oxymoron?) a T allocation. Over time I’ve become more excited about all of the performance attributes a T has that I would not have optioned in a base or an S.
For me, now is the time to get a 911, that was the overriding factor. But the T is a cool niche and I like that.
The negatives: If anything I wish I could have more sound insulation than a typical 911. And the grey mirrors (I am going c exclusive wheels and no decals, I prefer to be more subtle; this will be a daily). Oh, and I desperately wish I could have spec’d chalk/slate interior.

But if, for example, you want luxury, the Burmester without the sound deadening materials and the piano black throughout really gets in the way.
