Judging by my vin I was the first (or one of) on this forum to have their car delivered for PDI.
Arrived in UK late Feb I believe.
Should have collected around 10th March, but the dealer informed me there was a ‘bottleneck’ at the sole UK centre for all carrera PDI’s.
Fair enough but when informed of further delays I demanded to speak to the dealer manager - after all I’ve spent £200k+ ($250k) with them in last 8 mnths!!
That’s when they informed me there’d been a ‘slight accident when offloading from trailer for PDI’.
The tyre was slashed and the alloy damaged.
They ordered a replacement alloy from Germany but the wrong colour arrived !!!
Finally last Tuesday the right colour arrived and the car was collect for PPF - it will be back at the dealer next week. I haven’t seen it yet!
The whole saga begs lots of questions, but hopefully I’ll finally be collecting late next week.
Can anyone beat that??
That's not actually very unusual. Try living on the other side of the planet.

Thanks for posting. I've always enjoyed his channel. VERY Positive review. Particularly impressed with his comment "If I owned a Carrera S right now I'd absolutely sell it for the Carrera T. This car just feels way more exciting than a Carrera S even with less power".
Doesn't get much more positive than that! Can't wait to hit some of those twisty European Roads in a few more weeks!!

Thanks for sharing! Ha, saw video first thing this morning. I watch so many Porsche videos, utube was yelling at me to watch as soon as I turned on TV. In green it really looks like a frog. Looks great. Sounds from inside, seems pretty good. He was giggling a lot driving it. Good sign.

Question: if you select the standard "T" interior with the Lizard stitching and then add the back seat, do the back seats also get Lizard Green stitching and the Green stripped seat inserts? asking since the configurator when you do this shows the back seat inserts as not the "T" ones and only the regular ones?

pretty sure the back seats look just like the front seats, green seat belts in the rear as well.

Thanks for sharing. Nice review. He wasn't very impressed with the noise but I am. I'm not expecting GT3 noises. What I would love and hope for, and I think the T nails it, is a sound reminiscent of older Porsches. I owned nine of them over the years and the note of the T reminds me of the note in the 993s with the Motorsoound air box. Amazing considering that one is an aircooled NA and the other a watercooled turbo. It has all of the mechanical high pitch noise, at least in this video, and none of the turbo spooling sounds. Truly, well done Porsche! I'd love to ask those who have taken delivery to collaborate but I don't think anyone is over the break in period yet and those noises seem to happen past 5k.

He was impressed about the sound in the cabin. That is very special coming from someone with a GT3. Also saying there was a hint of GT3 sound above 6000rpm. So I don’t agree with you. Its a lot more than I expected to be honest. He was less impressed by the sound from outside but who cares? This was also confirmed in many other videos. Also coming from someone changing an exhaust on a GT3 you should not take this as something very negative?

I AM STOKED!

You have won on many points already. But did not wish this for you. Hope you will forget it all once it arrives. What clothes?

I would want to see the car… wheel and tyre is annoying, but not a major problem. Hopefully it all gets resolved fast.

To be fair to him he was actually complimentary about the sound inside the cabin. Think it was the sound outside he was less positive about. He even said there was a GT3 ish sound at the top end. Good enough for me!

Yeah, what to wear … decisions decisions.
Headgear is easy, has to be the cap of the greatest soccer team that ever graced the face of this earth.
For the rest it'll probably be a silvery grey top and titanium grey trousers..TBC

Absolutely. If it is a numbered car or a rare bespoke item related to one of the "editions" there can be push back. But a part on a regular production car, not a problem. The parts can actually all be looked up, but it gets really complex to find the number for a stitched wheel with matching 12 o'clock marker. They are special order no returns back to Porsche, so the dealers get uncomfortable unless you have a vin. For my 991.2 T, I came across a heritage something something targa, and it had a guards red stitched with 12 o'clock marker, took a picture of the vin and not a problem ordering the wheel.
