@Macboy first of all, you're a hero for putting 33k km in less than a year. Well done. Secondly, I'm sorry your farewell got botched but such is life. Looks like the same thing may happen to me. Thirdly, congrats again on the new car. Looks amazing and you just erased 27k km of your T history. Well done!

Ha love your garage Will but you will enjoy the diversity. Usually Porsche once order is placed and accepted is good to go however sometimes they do cancel due to options availability...happened with a few folks on 992's wanting aerokit before or CF buckets before. Most often tho its paint to sample and color combos that cause such actions by Porsche. But you should be safe.

Sounds like it was the paint or an option...that may have become temporarily unavailable or a change or transition...your SA should be able to find out esp if you were in V210 status!

The car has been wonderful with no issues and impressive performance. Best to everyone, except the guys lucky enough to get Gulf Blue! My PTS was rejected.
Yes lots of folks wanted PTS either get pushed waay out as far as delivery or run the risk of cancelation by Porsche at any time it seems.

Yes TYD does flex a lot...just gotta check and be patient. Been there and done that thru 5 ordered cars in my lifetime. Patience is a virtue with Porsche! LOL

Mine did exactly this at the first of November 2023. Three weeks later it was on its way to Emden.

Same here. TYD posted production photos but then sat at the factory and TYD got pushed back a month into May delivery. It did not go to “completed” until an extra 2 weeks later. In my case, I believe it may have been because I had some Exclusive Manufaktur stuff like deviated stitching and some extra racetex bits. Once it went to completed, it was quickly transported to Emden, and eventually loaded on a ship, and is now actually back on track for an April delivery as if the factory delay never happened.

First Trackday under its belt.

It’s no GT3 Touring ‘lite’, but I wasn’t expecting that. I was lapping Goodwood in 1:30 - 14 yrs on from doing 1:28s in the 997.2 GT3 CS and on the same day a 1:34 in the 964 C2 (mild track mods).

If I’m honest I wanted a little more from me and the car. I don’t have the confidence to lean on it as in the GT3 - could be me being older and wiser, could be suspension. The turbos meant that I could higher gear it and didn’t always need to be buzzing near the top end. Plenty of pull from 5-7k RPM.

Defo more tourer than track rat.

Video to come if anyone interested?

Very cool to hear the perspective from someone that's tracked multiple P cars on the same course.

Would love to see some video!

This continues to support my theory that the T can give the 7.2 GT3 and the 718 GT4 a run for their money.

Thanks for the kind words!

Can’t wait to see the video. I have pictures from Zandvoort trackday incoming. The car felt pretty good again. 1.58 was a nice time.

I put my 964 R/S into the tyre barrier, in the wet, at Goodwood many years ago.
So I’m no track star !
I am hoping that my T will prove to be an excellent fast road car.
That’s the T’s niche I hope, and it’s a big one.

You’re a star for going out in the wet at Goodwood!! Bloody scary track!
