992 Carrera T Club

I’m in America and he had an accent so not looking into their pricing. Just liked where he located the amp. And enjoyed his reaction to 992 interior. Looks like he lost his breath for a second.

Agree that a hidden amp is key - in the frunk or under the seats. It seems like many of the upgrades for 991 would also work in the 992 - replace with quality speakers and an amp with DSP for tuning. What I don't like is the comments about the buzziness of the doors and need to add sound deadening. Not in my T.

The same would apply in reverse if you guys find a good aftermarket system over there we could get it installed here.

I read similar comments on 718 model.
A guy on Macan forum bought top-end speakers to fit into his 718 and the audiophile was decent enough to tell him that the new speakers don’t make any positive difference, in fact there was more resonance from the 718 door, making it worse.
They fitted sound deadening tape to the door sheet-metal behind the speaker and audio quality improved considerably.

Of course dealers have priority customers, the ones that spend the most and no doubt they bump them up the line, but I’ve bought 4 new Porsches (plus friends that bought as well) over the years and never heard of having to pay an ‘admin fee’ fee of $10-15k as they seem to do with some dealers in the USA
