Is it really pre-owned? Who in their right mind would buy a new 992 T and have already sold it to a dealership?
#9198
I might be wrong but I think it’s just being used (some might say cleverly) just to attract traffic to the website as that car isn’t on their website or the Porsche approved list.

i bet they sell it as preowned to put whatever markup they want without been called out for ADM per se.

A car stereo shop needs to design an upgraded system for all these expensive porsche vehicles that got built with the lousy base stereo -big market if someone could design an easy way to install a bass self powered system. Maybe something under the passenger seat —

Musicar has a plug and play upgrade for the Bose system, and they have described it here in other threads. I reached out to them, and they would like to make a plug and play for the base as well. However, they need someone in their area to loan them a car to test the system on. They are in Portland OR. If anyone there was willing to let them have a car with a base stereo for a bit I bet you could negotiate a discount on the final product! I offered to send them my car, but I am in Minneapolis, and the transport costs make it a no-go.

@Targa32
Subtle??? On a toy sports car? Why? I say go for the fun element—/ life is too short for beige and grey sports cars. Keep your wife’s van in boring colors but not a 911. The shape is by default rather boring and truthfully outdated so the bright colors and decals help liven the car up some!
Targa32 did you just say the shape of a 911 ‘is rather boring’ ??!!
Sacrilege!
Outrageous!
Abominable!
You’re lucky they’ve banned capital punishment. In the past you would hang for comments like that!
By common consent the 992 generation is one of the prettiest cars on the road and by a mile the prettiest 911 ever!

hi, tested today during some b-road driving and the base stereo is unfortunately not that great. It has a harsh undertone for me and is thin sounding. Great for call quality, but music not so much. Fails to fill the cabin. It is my only gripe for otherwise exceptional car. As I will also use for commute, I should have bitten the bullet with burmester.

OK, car design is subjective. But I tend to agree with Henrik Fisker who once said about the 911 - “Perfect sculpture and surfacing. The ultimate example of design perfection." Hence, I’m all in on my Manual T! Ha, If they’d only hurry up and ship it already.

They are not able to charge the equivalent of an ADM here in the UK, and Porsche are really strict on the length of time dealership stock must be ‘showroom’ cars even before they can be demo’s, let alone sold… who knows!

How do I know?
I sold my 4 month old Taycan (400 miles) back to the dealer I’d bought it from, who promptly sold it for £13.5k more than they gave me 3 weeks later.
IE sold at more than list
