You misunderstand me, I am referring to NEW... Porsche do not allow them to sell new cars over list in the UK. They are able to sell approved used at whatever they want, but for that T to be anything more than a marketing ploy, they need to have bought it right back or be doing on SOR.

I’ll be upgrading my audio. I have Burmester in my current car. It’s definitely nice but decided to go aftermarket given Porsche pricing. I’m a huge fan of Mat Armstrong videos. Enjoy watching him fix Adam LZs Porsha GT3. Want to blast his outro song in my T, driving my local mountains soon!

Well, officially not, however… a colleague of mine paid £10k for an allocation that he could spec himself. He never touched the queue, he went straight to allocation.
I suspect that someone cancelled an order when he was due for allocation. Dealer promptly allocated it to premium/cash buyer, without anyone noticing, as the queue was theoretically unaffected.
I believe it does happens, as I was 4-th in a queue for a 911, then I was told I am third, as someone cancelled an order, followed by another smoky room discussion and I am 4-th again.

Of course dealers have priority customers, the ones that spend the most and no doubt they bump them up the line, but I’ve bought 4 new Porsches (plus friends that bought as well) over the years and never heard of having to pay an ‘admin fee’ fee of $10-15k as they seem to do with some dealers in the USA
Agreed in principle, ADM as in US doesn’t happen in UK… except my colleague was not a priority customer from a relationship perspective, as he moved from Aston Martin to 911 GTS.

Cool song for a demo.
With the integrated audio system I think I will start with better set of speakers, as additional amp and wiring can be a little messy.

As an aside, I think painting the black base calipers bright green has a 918 wannabe feel. Maybe wait until you’ve taken delivery before making any decisions. I think it will look pretty much perfect out of the box.

Agree. Years ago, when speccing my first GT3, I remember being encouraged to spec yellow stitching to match the PCCBs. I remember thinking…when is anyone going to visually connect the calipers with the interior thread? But some people think this is a big deal, and that’s fine. I’ve just never seen it as a natural pairing.

Subtle??? On a toy sports car? Why? I say go for the fun element—/ life is too short for beige and grey sports cars. Keep your wife’s van in boring colors but not a 911. The shape is by default rather boring and truthfully outdated so the bright colors and decals help liven the car up some!

Yeah. I’m continuing to think about exact change. Need to see/hear actual base system first. I’ve upgraded countless systems in the past. The amp quality can make a huge difference. I like where this guy in video placed the additional amp. Ha, funny how the install guy reacts to the car interior. Could also just replace factory amp below passenger seat. Lots to ponder. If anyone upgrades, would like to hear and see what others do.
