Can't you do them for free if just a few questions? Or do a Goggle Spreadsheet.

I just created a poll here on RL for 992 T color choice - everyone can chime in

I was 1st initially then 2nd after someone switched from a 992 to a T , this can happen if they had an order in before me.
August 27th 2021 I placed a deposit for a 992 but requested it to be a speculative Carrera T.
My order was signed shortly after release and then just waited for my allocation.

I believe things work differently for a lot of the guys Stateside.. so I suppose my "order" may have looked a bit fake to them as I didn't have Factory order number or whatever, end of the day I trust my Centre and my SE 👍

Congrats again @Gibberish
So, you have been patiently waiting for 71-weeks for the allocation. Initial order for vanilla 911 C2, converted to C2T… and BOOM!
may I add your allocation to my XLS running on PistonHeads?

Sure,
I'm either going Bold or playing it safe but I really Don't know yet..

Someone pointed out that the Race-Tex headlining goes well with the sunroof but then I'm thinking there's no other Race-Tex in the car, so may remove it.

I was initially thinking my Bold choice would be Shark but I've already had a Shark car and a lot seem to be being ordered.. we can say the same for Python too.

Playing it safe will either be IGM or GT silver, absolutely love the way Silver looks on the 992, loved my Spyder in GT Silver too with satin platinum wheels.

Here is my final build:

Unless, the Bose stereo becomes available before my 2/20 lock date. Can’t wait to be driving the T this summer!

How many are choosing color in part on practicality? I think my top choice colors (this week) would be white or Gentian. Between those two, Gentian would be much more succeptible to *noticeable* rock chips and nicks, especially on the rear quarters just outside the factory paint protection. I would rather not do a full body PPF ($8-10k) and just stick with partial coverage ($3k), but with Gentian I think I would worry about stone chips much more on uncovered areas. So, Gentian effectively becomes a much more expensive color. Are others factoring in how much better certain colors wear than others?

Nice, clean build @jkampingafw - I like it! If I may comment; Yellow seatbelts could be a nice interior touch.

Me too! I already sent in my entry form to drive 2 laps of the Old Track originally run when Cameron Argetsinger organized the first road race around and through Watkins Glen, NY! My brother (WGI Prez) said he got ***** T. Ribbs to be the Grand Marshall for the weekend. Should be a blast.

This will be my first 911 purchase. Is some level PPF a must on the 911? Would I be crazy not to do PPF? I’m mainly going to daily it but I will likely be drawn to take some road trips on it. Thanks.

Thanks for the info. I’d be very interested to see a wider shot of what that entry looks like for educational purposes. Did you try approaching at an angle?

Received the following update from my SA on the Deviated Stitching which is good news!
"I received confirmation this morning that the 911 logo will indeed be color matched to whatever deviated stitching color your client chooses."

Going with Guards Red on my stitching, with the black leather/sport tex and also GR seat belts, tach and sport chrono dial. Saw an image of a similar setup here on RL and it looked incredible.

My Gentian choice is partially due to practicality, mostly just because it's really the only non silver/black metallic option now that PTS is not an option. I was originally planning to do amethyst metallic. Luckily gentian happens to be a really nice color from what I have seen in person.

Same question for me regarding the PPF. I'm planning on a minimum of PPF of the front end to include front bumper, hood, and front quarter panels up to front of doors. On my previous CPO Black 997.2, it had some previous imperfections so PPF wasn't a viable option. I did do a paint correction and Ceramic on the 997.2, which I was very happy with. Is it worth it to do PPF on a specified area then Ceramic over the top on entire car on the new T?

Thanks!

I did full PPF on my Cayman. There's a couple of spots where the PPF took rock chips significant enough to make a small cut in the PPF but the paint is perfect. On track I pick up the most noticeable damage, including a small chip in my passenger side headlight when the GT3 I was tailing and annoying went off and threw stuff up at me.

I think if you do PPF, the "track pack" that most people do is enough - front clip, side skirts, behind the rear wheels. Ceramic makes the car so easy to clean.

On my 992 T I think I'll do full again because I really do enjoy the entire car looking perfect and I'm willing to spend the extra to keep that. If you do partial - make sure it covers the entire body panel instead of leaving a line where it stops in the middle. Those always look terrible as they age.
