992 Carrera T Club
I posted a few questions earlier on which nobody seem to have answered or confirmed. One is about the display in the instrument cluster in the “easy mode”. I could not find that you can change those values. Is that correct? And why would Porsche not enable this just like the other instruments?
The other one is the hard plastic/metallic “click” I hear when going back from 5th to neutral (shift center). It hits the shaft or something. If you don’t let go your hand and grab firmly you will not notice it. Only when you push it down out of its shaft. Not a big issue, but wanted to know if you have that as well. It just feels a bit less premium. As if it’s missing a rubber. It’s not the “skip/jump issue” that was mentioned by The911Don right? I cannot remember having this on the 991.2 MT. If necessary I can make a video.
Yes but so did Andreas Preuninger. He even skipped 1500rpm if it’s 9000rpm. And we all know it probably is not so important in the. I think all these schemes are just perfect. No constant speed. Switching gears. Making sure the engine (oil) is warm and off we go.
On the other hand: you don’t have to drive expensive on track as well. Can save your tires pretty easily and brake at 70% and still have a blast.
@ECNJ@Barkat03 let’s keep eachother updated and see if a group buy could be interesting. I can contact Clanck but don’t think they will do something below $1500.

@ECNJ
I would go to say 2,500 for something decent??
I looked at Clanck's website - looks interesting - but no prices
Check out Cambridge Audio - they do work for many Premier League footballers - their prices a little high but maybe they can do something bespoke??

Yeah. U guys may want to go a bit higher. I’m kinda cheap and may do some of install myself. I just don’t want to break any $1,000 Porsha clips.

Just fyi regarding Running In the Vehicle (which is how it's listed on page 16 of my 2023 owners manual) states "avoid" high engine speeds above 4,000 RPM, and to drive at low RPM's when engine is cold. It doesn't say the engine will self-destruct at 4,001 RPM's. And of course, it says "do not participate in motorsport events," etc. until 1,875 miles.
As I mentioned earlier, my GT350 manual gave much a more detailed RPM's and mileage explanation. And my friend's C7 limited the RPM's (and the digital tach actually changed) based on mileage. As he crossed 500 miles, the redline on the tach increased.
Just wanted to share.

My SA did the same thing. What’s with the teasing? So I just grabbed the cover and pulled it off like a bandaid.

Ok while I wait for more pics to use on next montage video. And I’m just saying but it may have a lot of green wings in it (hint), ha.
I know I mess around here too much. My last post was a joke. I didn’t stall the T. Don’t see how it’s possible. Anyone thinking of PDK should seriously consider MT (unless u really need a PDK). Driving the 992 MT is the easiest I’ve ever experienced. The clutch is so light. Shifter is sweet and short throw. I didn’t have an issue with the shift **** weight. And autoblip (new to me) almost makes it like an automatic Man I already miss my T so much. Separation anxiety, ha.
