I could ask my SA but I figured I'd ask here rather than call someone; can I choose PTS on my T build or is the ability to do PTS an entirely different kind of allocation and build?

PTS is not available for the T. At all. It's not available for any orders until further notice.

Choosing the color of the car is the absolute hardest part of this entire process.

I am still sticking with Gentian but my eyes deviate to Carmine at times, especially since this will likely be mine once in a lifetime build. Normally, I buy secondhand.

Some more T discussion on today's Spike's Car Radio podcast at about 7 minutes in for those of you who can't get enough T content.

I finally got an allocation from my dealer, March build date so should have the vehicle for summer. I saw a green Singer and wanted to get the same feel and look, an old school feel road car but not a track monster.

Here is my build in PDF, let me know what you think, I should nickname the car Kermit.

It was also speculated on the call that there would be no model year 2024 T's and the next generation/refresh of 911 is either this summer or next (tricky with supply chain issues).

If I take dealer delivery it would roughly be a July/August delivery. Not sure why Porsche won't consider holding this build slot a mere month or so for Euro Delivery.
Update on this to anyone hoping/planning for ED:

Leipzig _might_ still be a possibility. Waiting to hear. My SA did mention that if I:

pass on this build slot you probably will not get a 911t. We are close enough to the end of production that after this Porsche will start into the 992.2 and not introduce a 911t for several years.
Which goes along with what some of us have also speculated. If you get an allocation but can't get the options you want, it might be the only chance you get!

I am glad it was the easiest for me but I can get why.

I always had to have GT Silver for my 911 as it is a very classic color.

Agree wholeheartedly. My 991.2T was GT Silver and I'm going with it for the 992T again. I thought about a few other colors but decided to stick with GT Silver. I'd go with PTS Gemini Blue Metallic but alas no PTS.

Hé guys about the RAS. Because I wrote a lot about it already in different posts I dropped the subject. Just because somebody said “I have never heard anybody hate RAS” I emphasized my hatred against it a bit more. So a little tongue in cheek I am sure you can handle that.

Truth is, there is no right or wrong with RAS. Its basically what kind of driver you are. I have said this multiple times so hope people go back to read it again. The comparison with the GT3 makes no sense at all. It’s not because RAS is equipped on the GT3 so it must be good. No. It’s what you are seeking in your car. The GT3 is fully track oriented. So if you like your car to be track oriented than of course you can consider RAS. It will make your times probably a bit faster. If you don’t drive on the track that much it’s a different story. The GT3 is not made for drifting and oversteer situations. Maybe you like that more? Hence RAS is adding a lot of directness to the car. The car is much more planted because of RAS. Just like my own Carrera 4S with RAS which makes it even more planted and RAS makes more sense. The T is made more for mountain trips. But if you don’t want that but only drive trackdays with it why not? You can also buy a GT3 and never drive it on a track and just drift it around.

There is no right or wrong. It’s all about how you want to drive your car and what your own driving-style is.

Do you like a more planted car? Do you want to play less with your rear but want straight and clean lines? Do you want your car to have a more mid-engined Cayman feeling? Do you like your car to be like on rails? Do you drive more high speed corners? Then RAS definitely could be for you.

Are you more of a purist driver where you don’t want involvement from anything but pure the law of physics? Do you like to play around with the rear? Are you a driver who is doing more oversteer and drifting? Do you drive more slower corners? Then you probably don’t need RAS.

I say probably because it’s not science. As said here you can of course also drift with RAS or be quick on a track without it. Everybody has a different feeling. But you need to be prepared that RAS can give an elastic feel. Involving your tyres more than you may want. Just like Tourenwagen I also experienced a dangerous situation when the rear did just things I have not expected it to do. Especially between the speedrange where the tyres are changing directions. So always best is to try it out.

But I have never said you should or should not take RAS. I always gave examples of the system both pro as against it.

I listened to some of that today. I like Spike's Car Radio as it tends to be very Porsche-centric. Was hopeful they would have more feedback on the T since they had 2 cars - Spike and Lieberman. Disappointed they didn't really explain the options on both cars and were not familiar with some of the T unique features. I think they are more of the GT cars (on modern Porsches) or nothing crowd. Spike liked it though, thought it was fun, approachable, and balanced. He did say his car had RAS although he didn't notice it. Maybe they'll have more content later.

Thoughts on this build? I selected the satin black wheels to better match the black motorsports stripe, but do you think it would be better with the titanium gray wheels to match the mirrors?
